After his fantastic Euro 2024 performance, Chelsea are looking at Portuguese international Francisco Conceicao. Top European teams have shown great interest in the 21-year-old right-winger; Chelsea among them is particularly attentive. Starting with FC Porto, Conceicao moved through the ranks before moving to Ajax in the summer of 2022. His time with Ajax was brief; he returned to Porto on loan and then found a permanent home back to his former team. Top teams are already flocking, keen to acquire his skills, even if he just committed to Porto.
Chelsea Want To Sign The €30m Star Who Impressed In Euro 2024
Conceicao showed really remarkable ability throughout the previous season. In forty-43 games he scored eight goals and gave eight assists. Particularly after Portugal’s first group game’s critical late goal, his performance at Euro 2024 boosted to his already rising profile. Chelsea’s enthusiasm in Conceicao fits their approach of assembling young, outstanding artists from all throughout Europe. The team wants to improve their offensive options, and Conceicao exactly fits this description. Chelsea is positioned to act fast, particularly with Conceicao’s release clause expected to rise shortly, even if they have not yet taken a formal action.
Conceicao’s contract right now has a €30 million release clause. Starting Monday, July 15, this clause stands to be €45 million. This rise may inspire eager teams, including Chelsea, to act before the clause becomes more aggressive. Jorge Mendes, Conceicao’s agent, is aggressively looking for the perfect match for his client as the pre-season draws near. Once Conceicao returns to Porto, he is supposed to talk about his future with the president. With the increasing noise about his possible relocation, the next few weeks might be crucial in deciding where Conceicao will play next season.

With an eye toward purchasing for £5.9 million, Serie A team Lazio has agreed to loan Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares. Deal reported by Italian writer Alfredo Pedulla Arsenal had demanded £8.45 million as the purchase clause, but Lazio argued for a less price. Tavares’s contract continues until 2025, hence both teams worked and agreed on the £5.9 million sum. Lazio still has to complete negotiations with Tavares’s agency even with the development of the transaction. It is hoped that this will be fixed today. Twenty-four year old Tavares does not fit Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s plans. Having spent the last two seasons on loan, he is finally returning to Lazio.
Tavares spent last season at Nottingham Forest but came back to be ready for the next one. He won’t be back for Arsenal, however, clearly. Rather, he will go with Lazio and get back in touch with his old friend Matteo Guendouzi. Having developed a close relationship with Tavares throughout their time together at Arsenal and Marseille in the 2022–23 season, Guendouzi was instrumental in deciding where Tavares should go.
Originally from Benfica, Tavares originally joined Arsenal in July 2021. During his first run, he appeared 28 times total across all divisions. But he lost favour with Arteta after a noteworthy episode. He reacted violently when replaced in January 2022 after only 34 minutes in an FA Cup game against Nottingham Forest. Arteta clearly had no intention of integrating him in future plans, even if he participated in pre-season games going into the 2022–23 season and played twenty more games.
