Reportedly under delayed contract negotiations, Chelsea is looking at moving for Manchester City player Julian Alvarez. Chelsea has taken notice of Julian Alvarez’s concern over his future at Manchester City. For the Blues and other interested teams, the contract stalemate of the 24-year-old can provide a profitable market potential.
Chelsea Want To Sign This 24-year-old Striker
This summer Chelsea is eager to bring in a headline signing, and Alvarez would be suitable. Champion of World Cup and Copa America, the Argentine star is dissatisfied with his little Champions League playing time. He has not reacted favorably to Manchester City’s offer of a new deal. Talks with City may begin after he gets back from his vacations, although Alvarez seems to seek a more prominent position. Alvarez’s prospects of a major part seem remote since Erling Haaland is spearheading City’s attack.
Chelsea is ready to challenge Manchester City’s will with an offer to Alvarez. The Blues want to know if the player would be interested in the relocation. Alvarez would, however, prefer to go to Real Madrid, which is unlikely to commit much in another striker given Kylian Mbappe’s possible free transfer this summer.
Chelsea were intrigued when rumors of Alvarez’s discontent at Manchester City emerged in June. Though he won’t be cheap, the player fits Chelsea’s new transfer philosophy. Given Alvarez has four years left on his contract, Manchester City enjoys a strong position in any possible discussions. Alvarez finds it difficult to compel a relocation as this contract term allows City power.
Manchester City is not expected to show Alvarez offers as it is. The club will object to letting him depart as it regards him highly. Alvarez could have to finally accept City’s latest offer. Although Chelsea and other teams are still alert, the present situation benefits Manchester City, so Alvarez’s future is undetermined but most likely connected to his present team.
