Chelsea: Another promising young player has joined Chelsea’s roster. Aaron Anselmino has been verbally agreed upon with Boca Juniors. Although the player and the clubs have reached an agreement, the site of his development is still up in the air.
A number of promising young players from South America have recently signed with Chelsea. Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian were both signed by them in the last several months. Angelo Gabriel, Andrey Santos, Moises Caicedo, and Deivid Washington are among the hopeful newcomers at Stamford Bridge. Anselmino is the most recent addition to Chelsea’s crop of young players who should improve the club’s starting lineup in the years to come.
Reputed Journalist Says That Chelsea Are Announcing A New Signing
Even with the deal, nobody knows for sure where Anselmino should go from here with his growth. Instead of jumping right into Strasbourg, the sister club of Chelsea, some think he would be better off lingering at Boca Juniors for a little.
The news of Anselmino’s transfer to Stamford Bridge broke earlier this week. The defender, who is only 19 years old, has made just 10 appearances for Boca Juniors’ first squad. Despite this, a £14 million, six-year deal was reached between Chelsea and Boca Juniors. Manchester United was interested in this transaction but did not formally bid on it.
The deal was officially disclosed on Monday by Ben Jacobs and Fabrizio Romano. With this transfer, Chelsea will spend more than £100 million this summer. Among other notable additions, Estevao, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Omari Kellyman all cost more than £20 million.
According to Jacobs, Anselmino may spend six months in Ligue 1 beginning at Christmas, even if verbal arrangements have already been made. He would get a feel for European football during his time in France before relocating to London.
Putting money into Chelsea’s future stars is a key part of their plan. Given the amount of players signed on amortized agreements, however, they may have to reevaluate their expenditure shortly. How well Chelsea are able to incorporate these promising young players into their lineup will depend on how well they manage this delicate balancing act.

The end looks to be in sight for Kieran Tierney and his tenure at Arsenal. The Scotland defender hopes to finalize a long-term transfer this coming summer. Injuries and Mikel Arteta’s shifting tactics have made it an uneventful tenure for him at Arsenal. Tierney, who was once considered a potential captain, was benched in 2022 when Oleksandr Zinchenko joined the team.
Tierney, a left-back with central defensive capabilities, was on loan at Real Sociedad last season. There, he became a key member of the squad and sought to reignite his career. Unfortunately, he was only able to make 27 appearances due to persistent hamstring ailments. At the European Championships, he left the pitch in a 1-1 tie with Switzerland, continuing his injury woes. Tierney is devastated by his most recent injuries, and the extent of his recovery time is unknown.
Even though Tierney is well-liked by Arsenal supporters, he obviously has other plans for the future. Possible targets for Arsenal’s left-back search include Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori. Tierney would be demoted even farther if this were to happen.
Going back to Real Sociedad is quite improbable. For almost £8 million, the team is almost acquiring Sergio Gomes, a left back for Manchester City. Tierney, who Celtic acquired from Arsenal for £25 million in 2019, is now willing to take a mere £10 million from Arsenal.
