Tottenham Keeping Tabs On La Liga Striker As Harry Kane Replacement

Tottenham Hotspur is keeping an eye on Almeria striker Umar Sadiq, who may be a possible successor for Harry Kane in the next year.

Tottenham Hotspur is presently keeping an eye on the development of Umar Sadiq, according to Fichajes Sports. As a result of his impressive achievements in the Spanish Segunda Division, the Almeria striker has garnered a lot of attention from those who have been watching him.

Sadiq was linked with a move to Sevilla during the summer transfer window, but the deal did not materialise since the Spanish club could not pay Almeria’s €25m asking price. The Spanish club is now asking close to €30m, which is likely to be out of reach for any La Liga teams, putting Spurs in a strong position to compete in the transfer market.

The Player That Spurs Want To Sign To Replace Harry Kane; This Won’t Be Easy

Umar Sadiq, formerly of AS Roma, joined Almeria last summer for a price of just €5 million, after leaving the Italian club. Although he scored 20 goals in his debut season with the club, his efforts were not enough to secure his team’s promotion from the Championship division.

However, the striker has maintained his excellent form so far this season, netting six goals in only eight games. As a result, it is clear that the Nigerian is much overqualified for the Spanish second division and may choose to go to the next level of his development.
Spurs, in particular, maybe an attractive destination for the former Partizan number nine, whose towering 1.92m size and goal-scoring ability make him a natural match for the physically demanding Premier League environment.

From a sports standpoint, the North London giants are on the lookout for fresh attackers who can not only offer assistance for Harry Kane but also take over as his replacement for the remainder of the current campaign. Manchester City is still high on the list of priorities for the English forward, despite the fact that he has had a terrible start to the season.

How Will The Move Affect Tottenham?

With his ability to act as a target man, Sadiq fits in well with the rest of the team in that respect. Because Nuno Espirito Santo prefers a conventional number nine and has already worked with players such as Raul Jimenez during his time at Wolves, this bodes especially well for the Portuguese coach.

The three possible destinations for Umar Sadiq if Almería does not go up

It should go without saying that Sadiq’s lack of experience at the top level of football will prevent him from being considered as a suitable alternative for Harry Kane. If Tottenham does not sign any high-profile attackers in the summer of 2019, he may show to be a bargain and an outstanding squad player who can either emerge as the main striker or operate as the number two, for a price of only €30 million.

Despite recent speculation linking them with a transfer for Fiorentina’s emerging star and another ex-Partizan youngster Dusan Vlahovic, the Lilywhites will face strong competition from their arch-rivals Arsenal for his services.
