Could This Be The Boost That Arsenal Were Looking For This Season?

Arsene Wenger will definitely be a happy man as he would be pretty much delighted with his side’s comfortable win over Bournemouth. It seems Arsene had come prepared for this fixture as he made three changes to the side which were humiliated at the Anfield last month. The Gunners manager decided to field a strong eleven and put in Mustafi, Kolašinac and Alexander Lacazette for Rob Holding, Oxlade Chamberlain who left for the other team who hammered them 4-0 and Alexis Sanchez.

Eddie Howe on the other side just made a single alteration to his side as he bought on Andrew Surman for Ryan Fraser.

Arsenal were lucky as they got an early breakthrough as they scored in 6th minute as Sead Kolašinac darted down the left flank beating Harry Arter.  He then cut in and chipped the ball for a cross and the ball neatly found Danny Welbeck who made no mistake heading it in from a close range.

Credit to Kolašinac who did so well on left side playing as a wing back rather than staying in his own half to cut off any chances from the opponent.

Arsenal came close to score the 2nd of the game in the 16th minute as Danny Welbeck picked up the ball from behind but was immediately bought down in a dangerous position and the referee awarded a free kick from a scoring position.  Mesut Ozil stepped up and took a nice shot to the top left corner but Begovic did well to deny them the second.

Just 10 minute’s later Arsenal scored the second goal of the game courtesy to a brilliant strike by new star arrival Alexandre Lacazette. Danny Welbeck picked up Lacazette perfectly the no.9 made no mistake unleashing a beautiful curling strike into the top right corner of the net making it 2-0.

Welbeck was really clever there as he latched upon a chance easily, Once again a poor denfensive display from Eddie Howe’s side.

The first half was really great for Arsenal as they were on course to win their second league game of the season as the match looked to easy for the Gunners.

After the second half kicked off Jermain Defoe came close to score a goal but was denied by the post.

Minute’s later Welbeck scored the third goal of the game making it 3-0. Bournemouth defense once again at the fault as they gave away the ball cheaply in the area and Aaron Ramsey made no mistake setting up Welbeck who beat Begovic easily by putting in the far corner.

The Welshman did really well to win the ball back and charge forward, As Bournemouth were caught all over the place in the middle of the park where they’ve struggled through out the game.

Arsenal then didn’t lose the momentum as they dominated the Cherries throughout the game. There where a few chances from Arsene Wenger side but none came close.

After suffering back to back defeats, This afternoon’s victory is exactly what the Gunners needed. They did well to come away with what was a comfortable victory. But their task was made easier by another disappointing performance from Eddie Howe’s side.

The away side looked all over the place at the back and they only showed signs of improvement after Howe decided to put an extra man midfield midway through the second half but the damage was already done.
