Arsenal Looking To Sign This Quality Midfielder, As Emery Ready To Sell Gunners’ Star (Not Ramsey)

The north London giants have now decided that they will be looking to make an offer to sign Pablo Fornals from La Liga outfit Villarreal in the January transfer window, with the departure of Mohamed Elneny to fund this move, as reported by The Sun. Unai Emery is keen to strengthen his midfield and will want to sign a few more quality stars, while letting go of some of the other players that he does not wish to retain in his squad.

Due to this, the Londoners will try to trigger the £17.8m release clause that the Spain international has in his current contract. This is the main reason why they may try to offload the 26 year old Egyptian and raise money for the deal.

With that being said, the Premier League giants will be hoping to get a fee of about £15m from his sale and then utilizing that money to fund this transfer. The midfielder has failed to make an impact under Emery, who is now keen on letting him go, as he does not need his services at the Emirates anymore.

The player, who was signed by former boss Arsene Wenger has failed to impress the Spaniard now and he wishes to bring in some replacements with Welbeck already injured and Ramsey set to leave the club soon. Jack Wilshere also departed and joined West Ham in the summer, which has now left a slight void in the midfield.

Emery will want to work on these problems now and rectify them and will turn to a 22 year old Fornals to help strengthen the heart of his team. He has been impressive in recent times and an offer from England could soon see him leave the La Liga giants.

The Gunners have not lost a single league match, since their initial two losses to Manchester City and Chelsea and will want to make the most of the positive start that they have made. They are looking to win titles under the new manager, who has really helped them improve their play and the former PSG main-man will want to make the right kind of buys that suit his team and their playing style.

He has a lot of players on his radar at present, to fill the voids within his squad and it will be interesting to see which players the club eventually signs in the winter transfer window, which is not generally the time when clubs spend big. However, with the likes of Welbeck out till the end of the campaign and  Ramsey set to leave, things could be quite different this time.

This could be the end of the road for Elneny at north London though and the next few months could be make or break for his Arsenal career. If he is able to really impress with his showings in the upcoming days, things might change, though that seems to be highly unlikely now, with the way that things are at the moment. Only time will tell.
