Roma wonder kid, Cengiz Under, 21 is currently being scouted by Emery’s team as a thrilling summer transfer and reports suggest Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Tottenham are also in pursuit of the winger. A winter transfer for Manchester United is virtually impossible but a long term summer term can be prospected. Roma did not seem to be interested in selling during the current transfer window but are likely to sanction an exit at the end of the campaign, with the Italian side said to be looking to cash in on him.

If a bid is to be placed, Roma are reported to value Under at around £50 million following a couple of seasons of rapid development in the Italian capital. Bayern are in view of replacing evergreen winger Arjen Robben with Under as the Dutchman ends his contract this season. Like the Dutch great, Under has a powerful left footed shot and is really good at firing shots at goal.

Emery has switched play around Arsenal as a huge switch from Wenger’s time possession-based tactics to a more professional direct tactics with an essence of elegance. It has seen Arsenal get the best out of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is the club’s top goalscorer with 12. Emery needs more quality, especially on the wing where he has been forced to use Aubameyang as an option at times right through the campaign.

Arsenal have rivals Chelsea in signing Under as both the club prepare to match a whooping £44.5m, a prize Roma put for gaining Under’s services. The Serie A giants have tried their best to tie down the Turkey international to a new and improved deal, though the negotiations have only been stalling.

Elsewhere, Manchester City are also in the likely race to sign Cengiz Under as Guardiola’s team has a lucrative chance to flank up their wings with Under’s services which already has the likes of Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Kevin De Bruyne.

The 21-year-old has particularly shone in Europe where he has scored three goals in the Champions League so far. There are still areas of his game that need refinement, though. It remains to see whether The Turkish international’s fate will be sealed before the January window exits or will it have to wait till summer.

Unai Emery would have liked to add more quality to his squad, though the club’s management denied him the money to spend in the winter. However, these restrictions will not be there in the summer transfer window as the fans have been already assured of that.

The Spaniard has brought in some really good signings already, Torreira being the best of them and Guendouzi still having a long way to go. With a few more players like these, the team can be totally changed and things can be turned around. Only time will tell whether he can bring in more quality stars or not, though a player like Under can really make a major difference.

Pochettino too would like to get his hands on this top star and there will surely be an intense battle between the London based clubs and the Bundesliga champs at the end of the current campaign. Count on that!!
