According to the latest reports, Premier League side Arsenal are preparing three alternate offers for three different players in case they are unable to snap up a deal for Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace. The three alternate players that the Gunners are looking to sign are Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser, Dalian Yifang Yannick Carrasco and Barcelona’s Malcolm each valued at £40m, £25m and £50m respectively.
Unai Emery’s first season as Arsenal manager did not go according to plan despite getting off to a great start in the early part of the season. The Spanish boss took the north London side on a 22 game unbeaten streak across all competitions and there was an air of positivity around the Emirates after former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger left the club. The 69-year-old French manager has been in charge of Arsenal for 22 long years and managed to win quite a few honors during his tenure including three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups. However, to the final few years of his managerial career in the English capital, Wenger was unable to adapt to the newer generation of managers and was outwitted leaving the fan base quite toxic and even the most ardent of Arsenal fans wanted him to leave.
Emery’s appointment brought in a breath of fresh air into the club and a top-four finish looked inevitable until a stunning collapse towards the back end of the campaign. The North London outfit managed to finish in fifth place but had another chance of making it into Europe’s elite tournament if they won the Europa League final against Chelsea. But the Blues hammered their local London rivals 4-1 in Baku indicating that there is a lot of work to be done for the 46-year-old Emery over the summer if he wants to win titles with Arsenal.
In order to bolster his attack, Emery is looking to sign a few star players that could add width to his team and has lined up three alternatives if a move for Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace does not materialize. The Gunners are looking to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser after the Scotsman had a great season with the cherries last summer but the Premier League club are demanding £40 million for the 25-year-old energetic winger.
Yannick Carrasco is another player that Arsenal are looking to sign as the Belgian is keen on a move back to Europe after a spell with Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League. Carrasco is valued at around £25 million but the Chinese club are demanding around £40 million for the former Atletico Madrid man.

The third player that Arsenal are looking to sign is Barcelona outcast Malcolm as the 22-year-old failed to impress during his time at the Camp Nou. The Catalonian giants are looking to offload the Brazilian winger but Arsenal can afford him on a loan deal because Barcelona is demanding £50m for their winger.
The bad news for Arsenal is that they have only £40m in their transfer war chest and will have to sell some of their own players to generate transfer funds.
