Match Preview: Will The Gunners Be Able To Maintain The Unbeaten Run Against Liverpool, Despite Some Key Stars Missing?

The Gunners will take on Liverpool at the Emirates on Saturday in the Premier League. Mohamed Salah and co. will be desperate to win the match against the Gunners to stay at the top with Manchester City. On the other hand, Arsenal will also try to keep their unbeaten run against Liverpool too.

Team News :

Arsenal :

The defensive unit of the Gunners are not seeming to find confidence in this season. They were hardly able to keep any clean sheet in this season under the management of the new manager, Unai Emery. In the previous match against Crystal Palace, they conceded two penalties and were not able to get the win despite taking the lead in two occasions. The things have not gone scary for them as the right back Hector Bellerin has picked up an injury in the previous match against Crystal Palace. So, he has to be subbed off at the halftime mark. Stephan Lichtsteiner replaced him in that match for the rest 45 minutes. Lichtsteiner also scored one goal against Blackpool in the fourth round of match in the Carabao Cup. Now, it is seeming that, the manager of Arsenal, Unai Emery has to play Stephan Lichtsteiner at the right back position in this match against Liverpool.

On the other hand, Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal are still out of contention with injury problems. So, the chances are high that Granit Xhaka will play in the left back position for the Gunners. The chances are high that the Gunners will be exposed defensively from that side against Liverpool as Granit Xhaka has very less experience to operate from that position. Matteo Guendouzi was shown a red card in the match against Blackpool in the Carabao Cup. So,he is not going to take part in the match against Liverpool. So, Aaron Ramsey might get a call to play alongside Lucas Torreira in the midfield for the Gunners. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is going to be benched again in this match while the chances are high that both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang will feature in this match for the Gunners.

Liverpool :

Liverpool will miss the service of Naby Keita in this match while Jordan Henderson is very close to making a return. Though, it is assumed that Jurgen Klopp will not risk him in this big match. There could be certain changes in the defense of Liverpool in this match as the likes of Andrew Robertson and Joe Gomez are all set to make a return in the first team of Liverpool. Trent Alexander Arnold is not pictured in the training of Liverpool two days back. So, he might be out of contention for this match. There will be a return of James Milner in the starting lineup of the Reds against Arsenal on Saturday.

Predicted Starting Eleven :

Arsenal : (4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper : Leno

Defenders : Lichtsteiner, Holding, Mustafi, Xhaka.

Midfielders : Torreira, Ramsey; Iwobi, Ozil, Aubameyang

Goalkeeper : Alisson

Defenders : Gomez, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson.

Midfielders : Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum.

My Predicted Scoreline :
