Somehow now it is seeming that Liverpool are having that Champions’ luck in this season. This was one of the most closely fought contests of this season in the Premier League. Leicester City will be so disheartened after this defeat as they deserve at least one point from this encounter.
The Reds came in this match after a hard-fought win against Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League on Wednesday. Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp had to make a forced change in the starting lineup before coming into this match. Joel Matip was unavailable due to an injury; so Dejan Lovren made it to the starting XI of the Reds. On the other hand, James Maddison came back in the starting lineup of Leicester City.

Leicester City were looking confident to get at least one point from this match. Jurgen Klopp’s side desperately wanted to win the match at any cost. They tried to put up some clinical attacks at the end of the match. The defensive unit of Leicester City have done a bad mistake.
Sadio Mane was fouled at the injury time of the second half and VAR confirmed the penalty. James Milner took the penalty and converted the penalty successfully. Liverpool won the match by a margin of 2-1 at Anfield. This win will keep Liverpool at the top of the table for this week in the Premier League.
