The Reds have finished in the third position in the Premier League in the previous season and earned the Champions League qualification spot in the next season. Now, they will be eyeing to win the titles in the next season with strengthening their defensive unit.

Therefore, the club management of Liverpool have decided to sell Danny Ward to Leicester City in this summer transfer window so that they could get some money from that deal. The deal was fruitful for both the player and the club as the player will get his chances to play in the first team of Leicester City in the Cup Games and he will just be the second choice Goalkeeper of Leicester City if Kasper Schmeichel leaves the club in this summer transfer window.

Leicester City’s first choice Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is heavily linked with a move towards Chelsea in this summer transfer window. The 31 year old Goalkeeper has been as asset for his side for last few seasons. Kasper Schmeichel was an integral part of the Leicester City squad in their triumph in the Premier League in 2015-16 season. After that, Leicester City have signed Jakupovic from Everton FC in the summer transfer window of 2017-18 season. Jakupovic is also a class Goalkeeper and he has an experience of playing in the Premier League circuit for last few seasons. So, there will be a battle to get into the first team of Leicester City in the next season.
