Real Madrid get set to face off against Espanyol in the La Liga on Sunday evening, with Zinedine Zidane’s side looking to continue their good form. However, one problem that the French manager would have will be the fact that he will be without a couple of his key stars in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, who will both be sidelined for this one.
Ronaldo is ill, while the Welshman has a slight problem with his hip and will be both be absentees for the game, which the Los Blancos will surely want to win, as they look to showcase their supremacy in the league.
The reigning champions of Europe are tied on 9 points with fierce rivals Barcelona, though a win would put them three points clear of the Catalan side on top of the table, as they look to win the title in the current campaign.
Zidane will know the importance of this game, as he will want his side to put in a solid performance, irrespective of the absence of some of his top players.
The squad has a lot of quality and depth and should not be worried about a couple of stars not being fit to play on the night.
It will be interesting to see which players the manager decides to deploy on the pitch as the game goes on, but here is the starting eleven confirmed at the moment:
