It has been confirmed by Chelsea F.C. to Sky Sports News HQ that there is no truth in reports suggesting that current manager Antonio Conte will leave Stamford Bridge any time soon, by stating that they are utter nonsense. It has further been confirmed that various leading bookmakers have suspended the betting on the Italy boss, with respect to a possible departure from west London, after being in charge of the Blues for just three months.
SSNHQ also understands that the former Italy and Juventus main-man is only focused on the upcoming game against Premier League champs, Leicester City, which will be played on Saturday.
At present, Conte has a deal with the Londoners that will keep him at the club till the summer of 2019 and has not had the best of starts to life in the top flight of English football.
After winning his first three games in charge of the club, Conte has eventually failed to win one in September, with suffering defeats in tough games against fierce rivals Liverpool and Arsenal.
This had caused some unrest at the club and within his squad, with several reports suggesting that owner Roman Abramovich had held some emergency talks with the directors and had expressed his discontent.
The former champions of England were the third highest spending side prior to the start of the new campaign, as they invested a total sum of £116m on the likes of Michy Batshuayi, N’Golo Kante, Marcos Alonso and David Luiz, though things haven’t really worked out for them as they would have liked.
