2) The Conte Code :
Ever since the former Juventus coach switched tactics from Chelsea favoured 4-2-3-1 to his preferred 3-4-3 the gunners and Wenger have ran out of solution to crack it. Chelsea and Arsenal have gone head to head 2 times this season with each team having won 1 each. It was in the first game between them, when the North London club went rampant scoring 3 in the first half. This prompted Conte to switch to his preferred 3-4-3 in the second half for the first time since taking the helm at the bridge. Ever since then arsenal found it difficult to crack Chelsea and the game ended 3-0. In the reverse fixture at the bridge arsenal once again found it difficult to make in roads and the blues cruised to a 3-1 win with the solitary goal for the away side coming at the end in injury time.
1) The Arsenal Injuries :
Arsenal could be without many of their key stars for the cup final, that they will be desperate to win. The boss confirmed in his presser that Gabriel will be missing for a period of six to eight weeks with a knee problem, while Mustafi is doubtful. Laurent Koscielny will also miss the game, after he received a 3 match ban from the FA. Kieran Gibbs was also said to be doubtful, though he might still make it on time.
Though, Alexis Sanchez is fit for the game on Saturday, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is still doubtful for the match and has not trained yet. The duo could be the major game changers for the Gunners and their absence might give the advantage to the Blues.
Conte’s team is already at full strength and this might just shift the tide totally in their favour.
