Will This Chelsea Star Remain At Stamford Bride, Amid Interest From Various Clubs

Diego Simeone has publicly stated his desire to sign Chelsea forward Diego Costa during the course of the summer transfer window leaving the Blues’ fans in fear. Costa is on the radar of a few other clubs in Europe as well as Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian. The Chinese club are reported to eye Costa at a price of £76m as the Spanish international will earn over £25m a year with the deal.

Costa’s future at Chelsea is still a bit uncertain as he was seen waving to every corner of the ground after Chelsea’s final game in the league against Sunderland on Sunday at Stamford Bridge during his substitution. And there will be a lot of takers for the 28 year old who has guided Chelsea to two league titles in 3 seasons.

Costa’s former club Atletico Madrid are also keen to bring him back to Madrid as their manager Diego Simeone and Costa reportedly share a close friendship. Reports of star striker Antoine Griezmann’s future also relies on Costa’s arrival depending on if Griezmann leaves to England to join Manchester United.

Costa has also helped Atletico Madrid win the league as well as guide them to a Champions League final. But it currently depends on how things work out at Stamford Bridge who are in danger of losing their front-man.

On the other hand, the attacker has himself stated that he would only leave the Blues, if his former club wanted to have him back, which means a move to China is off the cards.

Things could get quite interesting in the days to come, after the club’s 2-1 FA Cup final loss to Arsenal.
