Deal Done : Arsenal Finally Sign Alexandre Lacazette In €53m Record Breaking Deal

The Big One-

It has been a transfer that took a while, though the deal has now been finally done by the Gunners. Recent reports have now confirmed that Premier League giants Arsenal have finally completed the signing of Alexandre Lacazette, from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon, for a fee said to be around €53m.

The deal breaks the Londoners’ previous transfer record of £42.4m, which they spent on the signing of German international Mesut Ozil from the current champions of Europe, Real Madrid, back in 2013.

The 26 year old superstar has already made a big impression for his club and country and is considered a striker, who can at least score more than 20 goals a season.

He is more versatile than his compatriot Olivier Giroud and also has a physical presence and is quick too.

The attacker has been in good form in recent times, not just for the French club, but for his national side as well, which might have caught Wenger’s attention, who was keen on adding him to his current squad, for quite some time now.

A deal had not worked out previously, yet, Arsenal’s demotion to the Europa League for the upcoming campaign, could be the main reason for this urgency and Wenger now does not really have a choice.

Is he worth the money?

Well, Wenger’s plans of producing some sort of miracle in the league and the Champions League have so far only backfired on the Arsenal boss. He is in need of some major change at the club and along with a fortified defensive line, there was a need of an additional goal-scorer.

In comes, Lacazette. As every Gooner would tell you for this one, forget the price tag. We are desperate for a high quality forward and we have got him now.

Can he help them win the Premier League?

It is too early to make that call at the moment, though some of the fans might feel that he can surely help them accomplish that feat in the years to come. However, one factor would be his age and whether or not he can adapt to the pace of the game on English soil or not.

Wenger has pulled off a good one and hopefully the French main-man knows what he is doing. Lacazette does not look like a player, who will be kept away from the action and will most likely be among the goals, though it will be interesting to see how his overall game develops, for the north London outfit.

The newest addition to the Arsenal squad, could either have Sanchez or Ozil by his side, or both rather if things work out, which might see our attack probably become a major force that could destroy any defence next season.

If the Frenchman manages to fit into Wenger’s team soon, he could really leave his mark on the top flight of English football and various cup competitions as well. Hopefully, it will help him become a club legend some day.

We will have to just wait and watch out for that and you can keep track of all the news on our FB page. Like it now!!
