Chelsea Keen On Signing Star Recommended By “Didier Drogba”, With Player Keen On Leaving Current Club Too

Interest From Chelsea-
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte reportedly wants to sign a young sensation from the Major League Soccer called Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla. The 18 year old currently plays for Montreal Impact and was Didier Drogba’s recommendation to the former Juventus and Italy boss. The Blues are just one of the many top clubs in Europe that are showing an interest in the teenage winger. Tabla was born in Ivory Coast but he chose to represent Canada for international football at various age levels.
As a highly-rated superstar, Tabla made 17 appearances so far this season, with a total return of 3 goals and an assist, which was underwhelming given the hype that surrounds him.
His work-rate, determination, skill and potential have caught the eyes of not only the ones in the MLS, but also Chelsea, along with Lille and Red Bull Salzburg all taking a keen interest in development of the player.
Tabla’s contract is set to expire in December of 2018 and with just one and a half year left on his current deal; Montreal may find it hard to keep hold of their prized asset amid the interest from the European giants.
He has also received a senior call for the national side and at such a young age, he is tipped to have a positive future ahead of him.
Chelsea though were urged to sign the starlet by none other than their own club legend Didier Drogba. He has reportedly told the London club about the potential of Tabla, while fans have already drawn comparisons of the two forwards.
However, if Chelsea do pick up on Drogba’s recommendation, it is still unlikely that Tabla will receive any first-team football at Stamford Bridge and the player may be loaned out to several other clubs as Chelsea have done with many other bright youngsters to gain experience.
Update About The Player’s Future-
Recently the player himself has confirmed that he wishes to leave his current club and wants to pursuit football elsewhere, with the Blues eager to add him to their squad as well. This could be the main reason, why he has asked for a move and if things work out, he could be on his way to west London.
Conte has been active in the transfer window and has already demanded more signings, after his teams loss in the Community Shield against Arsenal. The Italian boss feels that there are still some gaps within his squad that need to be filled and has urged his board and management to comply with what he has asked.
The Chelsea main-man is keen on winning more titles and his team will be defending their Premier League title in the upcoming campaign. There are still nearly 20 days left in the transfer window and if the manager is serious about his claims, will try to sing some more stars in the days to come.
We will have to wait and watch, which players he does sign now and you can keep tabs on all the transfer activity by liking our page on Facebook.
