Premier League Clubs In A Heavy Clash For Arsenal Man, With Future Still In Doubts

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Arsenal’s midfielder Alex Oxlade Chamberlain on whether he will remain at the Emirates or not, but some clubs are ready to take advantage of the North London clubs situation. Premier League duo of Liverpool and Chelsea are keen to secure the services of the versatile midfielder if he wishes to leave the club.

It has been reported that Chamberlain is wanting out of the club after he was left unhappy at the new deal which was offered to him by the Arsenal board.

The ‘Ox’ was initially offered a contract which would see him earn under £100,000 a week along with his contract extension. However, the 24 year old wasn’t content with what the club valued him at.

Since then Arsenal have re-negotiated and are set to offer Chamberlain almost double the wages would amount up to £180,000 a week, but the former Southampton man is set to reject the new contract extension.

The Arsenal winger has just under a year left on his contract and Arsenal would then lose him for free next summer.

Chamberlain has drawn interest from title rivals Liverpool and Chelsea, but Antonio Conte’s side seems to be edging it. It would be sensible for Arsenal to sell Chamberlain and raise funds for other players whom they can recruit that want to play for the club.

Chamberlain is a highly energetic, skillful dribbler who puts in a shift every time he is on the pitch. However, being restricted to just 16 starts in the League last term, the England international wants a move away from the Emirates.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is not keen on losing his prized asset who is valued at around £35m but with the circumstances, it would be smart if Wenger allows Ox to move on. With the transfer deadline day just around the corner, it should be interesting to see what unfolds in the coming days.

The Move To Chelsea And The “Liverpool Interest”-

There were claims in the recent weeks that Chelsea had already beaten the other contenders for his signature and agreed a £35m deal with their domestic rivals, in order to acquire the services of the England international. The deal would see the winger make the switch to Stamford Bridge, as the Blues were eager to add more fire-power up front. However, it seems that there is something more to this whole transfer saga than what meets the eye.

It seems now that a new story confirms that the Gunners’ star wants a move to Anfield than joining the champions of England for certain reasons.

The main reason why he wanted to leave north London was due to the lack of game time that he was being given and the player might be seeing a greater potential with the Reds, than Conte’s side.
