Manchester United will face Burton Albion in the third round of match of Carabao Cup at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Manchester United is running through a brilliant form in this season so far. They had just outclassed Everton in an one sided encounter with an emphatic margin of 4-0. They were emerged victorious against FC Basel in the opening match of Champions League with a 3-0 margin.
Manchester United were the Champions of this Cup in the previous season and it was the first trophy of Jose Mourinho in his career at United. They would like to win it also in this year.
However, the fixtures for them are really tough as they have to play in Premier League and UEFA Champions League also. Jose Mourinho will prefer to avoid injuries in his squad after Paul Pogba being out for few weeks after receiving a knock against Basel in the Champions League.
So some changes in the starting line up is expected against Burton on Wednesday.

Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof will pair up in the central defense. Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera will start at the central midfield. McTominay and Gomes ,two products of Academy may start the match along with Lingard in the attacking midfield while Anthony Martial is expected to be a lone forward upfront. Paul Pogba who was injured in the Champions League match against FC Basel could possibly return to the squad, though whether he will play or not, is still not certain yet.
