Liverpool had won against West Ham with an emphatic margin of 4-1 before the International Break. They will eye to reach the top four by winning the match against Liverpool.

 

Southampton are currently situated at 13th place in the League Table with 13 points from the same number of matches played. They were defeated by Burnley with a margin of 1-0 in the previous match-day. They will try to get at least one point from Anfield to get the mental boost up for the next few matches of the season.

Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson are available for selection in the squad for Liverpool. Sadio Mane is the only doubt in the squad to be in match fit condition.

 

Mignolet will play in the Liverpool Goal in this match while Gomez, Matip, Klavan and Moreno play in the defense for Liverpool. Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wijnaldum and Can will be there in the midfield for Liverpool while Mane, Firmino and Salah will play in the attacking third for Liverpool.

 

Southampton :

 

Mario Lemina is set to be Southampton’s only absentee at Anfield. Otherwise the rest of the players are available for selection for Southampton in the match against Liverpool.

 

Forster was expected to play as the goalkeeper for Southampton in this match. Cedric, Hoedt, Van Dijk and Bertrand will be in the defense for Southampton. Romeu, Davis, Redmond, Tadic and Boufal will be there in the midfield in this match against Liverpool. Gabbiadini will play as a lone striker in the upfront for them.

The end result was a 3-0 win for the Merseyside outfit at Anfield for the hosts, who will now be confident and will try their best to keep winning matches and pushing for a title challenge. Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and United, were all winners this week, with Spurs losing to the Gunners.

They have some big games coming up including the ones against Chelsea, Everton and Arsenal, prior to the year end and will want to take back maximum points from these fixtures. It will be interesting to see how things develop now.
