Liverpool will face Manchester City on this weekend in Premier League. This is going to be a match to watch out for the fans as they can expect galore of Goals coming at Anfield on Sunday. Liverpool are currently situated at 4th position in the League table with 44 Points from 22 matches so far while Manchester City are situated at the top position in the League Table with 62 Points in the same number of matches.
Having just lost star Brazilian Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for a massive fee of £142m, Liverpool will be looking to spend the money wisely and lure in Thomas Lemar, who could be an ideal replacement for the 25-year-old winger.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was adamant to sell Coutinho, but the former Inter Milan man had his sights set on moving to the Camp Nou. With lacking a solid play-maker in the centre of the pitch, Liverpool will be hoping to step up their pursuit of Lemar to qualify for the Champions League by securing a top 4 finish. The management will be trying to push the Merseyside club to go all the way in the FA Cup, which is their only real possible chance of silverware this season.
On the other hand, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are keen at swooping in for Evans as they have injury problems of their own. City are currently in pole position in the Premier League and are going through a great run of form over the past few months. But injuries of John Stones and Vincent Kompany could seriously dent their chances of winning the Premier League. With Mangala still not a convincing defender in the mind of the Spanish manager a move for Evans could be possible in the Transfer Window.
Manchester City :
The Blues have no fresh concerns. Benjamin Mendy is a long term absentee. The Skipper Vincent Kompany is still a doubt due to a calf problem. Pep will prefer to play with a 4-3-3 formation with Ederson standing in the City Goal. Walker and Delph will play at two sides of the defense while Stones and Otamendi will pair up in the central defense. De Bruyne, Fernandinho and David Silva will play in the heart of the midfield for Manchester City while Sterling, Aguero and Sane will lead the line for City from upfront.
Liverpool :
Alberto Moreno is going to be doubtful in this match against Manchester City. Otherwise, Klopp will have the full squad in his hand to play. Mignolet will start in Liverpool Goal against Manchester City while Gomez, Lovren, Van Dijk and Milner are expected to start against City while Chamberlain, Can and Wijnaldum will be in the midfield for Liverpool. Mane, Salah and Firmino will start in the attacking line for Liverpool against the League leaders Manchester City.
