Breaking: Latest Update On The Future Of This Top Manchester United Star

Reports claim that Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close to a move where he would join Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy. The American club was keen on bringing the big Swede to the West soon after his spell at Paris Saint Germain but now has re-ignited their interest in Ibrahimovic. He is already 36 years of age, but he still works extremely hard on his fitness, Zlatan Ibrahimovic may be one of the best strikers in the world, still, due to his passion and love for the game. But with the recent injury concerns that Ibrahimovic is facing, he may just have to accept that his body is getting a bit too old for the intense games.

Last season, Ibrahimovic suffered a big blow when he was taken off during a Europa League game after sustaining a ligament injury and was out of action for nearly a year. Many fans thought that this would be the end of an era, with Ibrahimovic’s contract expiring at the end of last summer. He was still United’s top-scorer at the time and was a crucial focal point in their attack. However, the giant forward extended his contract with United in August which would keep him at the club for another year.

Zlatan scored twice in the EFL Cup final last season including a late header that sealed the trophy for the Red Devils, though the ACL injury ruled him out of the Europa League Final which United won over Ajax. The former Juventus attacker managed 28 goals in all competitions in an extraordinary debut season for the Red Devils despite his injuries.

Ibrahimovic made a return to the first team in November, but having made a comeback to the front-line, the former Swedish striker suffered another blow after a knee injury in a 2-2 draw against Burnley last month. He has now gone on to miss six matches for the top-flight outfit and may never be able to feature for them again.

A move for LA Galaxy is now becoming increasingly close as the January transfer window is coming to an end. Certainly, the West coast club would love to bring him to the United States, as they have done with many other superstars, including Steven Gerrard, David Beckham, and Robbie Keane. And Los Angeles is confident of securing a deal for Zlatan, although he may have to receive a massive pay-cut from United as he plans on terminating his contract sooner than it lasts.

But the move may take place after Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho signed Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal last week, which would mean that Zlatan would be a surplus at United, considering his lack of pace and constant injury worries. He would fall further down the pecking order as Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and even Marcus Rashford

A move for Zlatan to Los Angeles could be a brilliant one as the world-class forward has already stated he would want to end his career out there. And the people of United States could have another footballing legend to add to their growing list that has played in that country.
