Huge ! Manchester United Eyeing Real Madrid Youngster, Arsenal Get Update On Target And More

Jose Mourinho

Real Madrid’s Matteo Kovacic is being eyed by Manchester United. The Croatian International’s inability to impress Zinedine Zidane could be the reason that Jose Mourinho could get his hands on this young midfielder. Kovacic didn’t get much chances this season inspite of the club lingering 19 points behind the leaders Barcelona. Reports claim that Jose Mourinho sees Mateo Kovacic as the man to fill in the shoes of Michael Carrick, who isn’t getting any younger.
Arsenal’s hopes to sign Pierre Emerick Aubameyang have been warded off by Borussia Dortmund. Any chance of the Gabonese striker signing for the North London club this month looks bleak now.
Chelsea’s efforts to sign somebody tall upfront is getting funnier by the day as Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud is the new man to be linked with the current
EPL champions.
Amidst reports of Antonio Conte having a fallout with the Chelsea board, the club is still in the market to sign a striker and a left wingback.Paris Saint Germain winger Lucas Moura was spotted in London. The Brazilian was seen at a meeting with Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy. The winger wants to move elsewhere before the window closes. He was seen taking a tour of the Spurs new stadium which is under construction at Wembley.
Athletic Bilbao’s Aymeric Laporte was dropped from the upcoming fixture against Eibar amidst reports of a move to Manchester City. Athletic boss JoseAngel Ziganda dropped the player, inspite of claiming in press conference that Laporte is available for selection. Pep Guardiola is believed to be an admirer of the Frenchman and City are more than willing to pay his €65m release clause. Laporte is an important player for the Basque side and the club may definitely show resolve to hold onto the player , should this deal go ahead. Pep however has his fingers crossed over this deal .
When asked about the deal , he said ” No, I can’t say anything. He is a player of Bilbao. If it happens, it happens. If not then it doesn’t .”
With the return of the Champions League on the horizon, United could do without a replay, too, but they might not have it all their own way against the fired-up hosts, who had won three times at home in the competition already this term. This quite possibly represented United’s last chance of domestic silverware this season and Jose Mourinho, fresh from signing a new contract, was determined to avoid a shock defeat.
Alexis Sanchez started for the visitors. The Chilean made his United debut alongside returning captain Michael Carrick among 10 changes to the side that won at Burnley in the Premier League. Only Juan Mata kept his place in the side that faced Burnley in the Premier League.
Manchester United are into the fifth round then, while new man Sanchez has his first assist for the club. Mourinho can be happy with that. Herrera struck the second before substitutes Lingard and Lukaku added a third and a fourth late on. Yeovil struggled to cope with the visitors’ all-star attacking line-up in the closing stages. Yeovil fought hard, but they came up well short of United in the end. The goal just before half-time, through Rashford, was a cruel blow to the hosts’ hopes and they paid the price.
