Liverpool Eyeing To Make Move For This Ligue 1 Goalkeeper In Winter Transfer Window

Who will fit in the German squad in the World Cup? The recent Germany football team has got Manuel Neuer, Ter Stegen as well as Kevin Trapp, who have a key role in the confederation winning combination. Due to the lack of playing time received for the German goalkeeper in PSG, Trapp may leave PSG in January, as confirmed.

This 27-year-old Goalkeeper has featured in just two Ligue 1 matches this season so far. Where Unai Emery prefers Alphonse Areola as the first choice shot-stopper.

Liverpool has spent a lot since Jürgen Klopp’s arrival in Anfield back in October 2015, with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Virgil van Dijk being brought in.

Jurgen Klopp is in search for a new keeper as Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius  are continuing to disappoint the home crowd.

Though the Eagles’ boss Roy Hodgson is also interested in acquiring the services of the German international.

Trapp’s agent Jorg Neubauer said about this issue: “If there’s a chance in the winter, Kevin wants to leave Paris.”
It clearly shows the determination if the German keeper to be included in Joachim Low’s World Cup squad for Russia.

The manager added, “If you want to go to the World Cup, you have to be playing. We’ll see what happens.”

According to some rumours, the French club is likely to release Trapp for around £13m.

Trapp joined with a five-year deal in PSG back in the summer of 2015 from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

When Trapp was asked about his Liverpool link, he said: ‘It’s an amazing club with a great tradition” and added, “And of course, I’m a fan of the Premier League. The Reds are not without interest, they have already won many titles and Jürgen Klopp is, of course, a very good coach.”

Liverpool fans now may expect a tough  challenge from their side for the Premier League title. With Van Dijk now on board, the signing of a top-class ‘keeper would give them a clean chance for doing just that.
Whether Trapp is the man for the job, though, is debatable, to say the least.

Liverpool are now 4th place in the English Premier League. They are on 41 points, 17 points below the league leader Manchester City. They just had an impressive game in their home against the foxes. They won by 2-1. It was all Mohamed Salah show, where he scored two goals for his side. Salah is just 1 goal less than the chart leader Harry Kane with 18 goals so far.

Liverpool are now one of the most fierce attacking threats in the World Football. Salah , Coutinho, Firmino and Mane can score from anywhere. But their defensive mistakes are not allowing them to win the crucial matches. Inclusion of Kevin Trapp in the side will surely help Liverpool. The goalkeeping errors have made it tough for the Kops to get all three points against Arsenal. Arsenal had scored three goals in 15 minutes of period in that match. That’s why Klopp is desperate to bring a World class Goalkeeper in the transfer window.
