The Previous Story-
Manchester United was given a big boost of securing a deal for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale, but will have to wait until the next summer transfer window to do so. The former Tottenham Hotspurs winger has been in really good form since joining the Santiago Bernabeu, but his injuries have cost him his spot toward the end of last season.
The current European champions are playing football on a whole other level. They have been described as a team to that could be called a certain form of Galacticos a few years from now. Under French boss Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid won the Champions League twice in a row, being the first club to achieve the feat since the Elite tournament was known.
But it’s a good problem for Zidane to have as he has so many quality attacking talents at his disposal. However, some players may not be able to make it to the first team due to the competition in the ranks.
Despite having established himself, Bale has been having a rather tough time at the club since the end of last season. His constant injuries have been worrying and that his seen him lose his place as a regular in the side.
Youngsters like Marco Asensio, Isco, and Lucas Vazquez have stolen the limelight from the Welsh international, which may be a cause for concern in the coming few months. Bale had a great start to the campaign as he grabbed a goal and an assist in Real Madrid’s first game of the La Liga season against Deportivo La Coruna.
But just a week later, Bale was booed by the Madrid fans after a poor performance against Valencia before he left for the World Cup Qualifiers on national duty. And if there’s anything we know with the Los Blancos is that they want the best players to play in their team. And with the youngsters proving to be more effective than the 28 year old, Zidane may not require Bale for next season.
But there will definitely be top clubs in Europe looking to swoop up Bale, who is still extremely dangerous a player he was when in England. A possible return to the country could be on the cards if Bale does not enjoy a successful season at the Bernabeu.
Jose Mourinho has constantly stated of his interest in a winger, having lost out on Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic the Portuguese boss still believes his squad needs a few additions. The Red Devils will gladly wait for another year to sign Bale if there is a chance of him coming to Old Trafford.
The Latest Update-
It has been stated as per a new report that there might be a swap deal on the cards between the Red Devils and Los Blancos, with the clubs expected to exchange De Gea for Bale, if both parties and players agree to the move. This could be a huge bonus for either side looking to reinforce their squads. It will be interesting to see whether this deal does go through or not.
