Manchester United To Hijack Deal, Will There Be Another Twist In This Arsenal Star’s Saga?

Who would be more skilful than him to hijack a transfer deal? Like he has snatched Lukaku from the Blues, this time, José Mourinho is eyeing the Chilean winger in the current winter transfer window. Some chit-chats emerged yesterday that United had put a mouth-watery £25m bid for the Arsenal forward and had also offered Henrikh Mkhitaryan as part of the deal.

Though it is known to everyone that Alexis is Pep Guardiola’s number one transfer target and it seems that Mourinho is trying to hijack the deal according to reports.

It is said that City is being reluctant to meet Sanchez’s financial demands and a City insider has said that Sanchez ‘must decide whether to put trophies before money’. Though another second City source insists the club is ‘not desperate’ to sign Sanchez this month and they are gonna bring a ‘big signing’ in the summer if a move for the Arsenal talisman fails to materialise. Though sources claim City have talked about Sanchez’s reported demands of £400,000-a-week and a £15m signing-on fee.

On the contrary, when Mourinho was asked to about the issue, he said, “I’m not a big defender of the January market but there are players and situations that sometimes you have the chance to do and you shouldn’t lose that chance, he said last month.” And added, “I don’t like the January market just to buy [for the sake of buying]. But if you can buy one you would buy in June, with the chance a few months before, then great.”

It’s been a packed up window for United so far by rumours. They have been also linked with Juventus’ Paulo Dybala, Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, Gareth Bale and Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic, just to name a few.

Sanchez, who had eight goals and four assists in 22 appearances this season, teased teammates by saying “what one” (regarding the chosen one) when quizzed about his now seemingly inevitable move to Manchester, according to a report. The report adds that Arsenal has asked whether Anthony Martial could be included in any deal too!

Arsenal may let Sanchez leave Emirates in January if they receive a suitable offer and if a replacement is secured. That replacement is widely-thought to be Bordeaux wonderkid Malcolm.
Though two unnamed clubs are currently in talks to sign the Brazilian winger, who is currently learning English, and United are definitely not one of them.

Sanchez is not the only star striker United has made preliminary inquiries about in January. Mourinho also has United’s old favourite Javier Hernandez on his shortlist along with Leicester talisman Jamie Vardy.

Alexis is a far job for Mourinho as some reports claim, Sanchez has already agreed on personal terms worth around £250,000-a-week with City, but Mourinho remains confident of winning the race. But you won’t need any rocket science to get that Sanchez has his heart set on a reunion with former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola, but City will need to increase their offer to £35m to finally land the Chilean.

This one may yet to go to its finale!
