Arsenal are going through a bad patch of time in recent days. They were defeated by Tottenham Hotspur with a margin of 1-0 with the solo goal of Harry Kane. Arsene Wenger is going to several problems throughout the whole season and the arrival of Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan might help him to do some damage control in the last part of the season.
The problem lies somewhere else, behind that. The casual faults in the back third, the soft spot in the middle third, the lack of closing down, the sloppy center backs. These are the problems may look into solve this summer and half of these may get solved by one individual.
Max Meyer, who had been a long term target for Arsenal and it has again rejuvenated in the news. His name got flashed in January as a real and potential Gunners’ choice despite of Schalke’s dim performances. He has maintained himself as one of the best defensive midfielder in Bundesliga, at least better than the moon of some fans’ eye, Naby Keita.
He is undersized, so is N’Golo Kante and Keita, the one we have been worshipped last few months. The reason behind his success lies in his presence of mind, he is an outstanding midfield ball winner. He can be compared to Cazorla by attire, but far more have to give than him, at his age of 22.
Arsenal’s ever-drought (at least, they didn’t get any after my birth) league winning saga must be ended now. So if a re creation helps in that why not! The problem is obviously Bayern Munich. The ‘greater’ Bayern treats the rest of the clubs of Bundesliga as harvesting ground. It’s like all is theirs. People shall grow there and play for them when they get maturity. They have already entered into the race to catch Meyer after securing Goretzka.
There is a possibility that Meyer may become a free agent at the end of this season, and it would provide a supreme opportunity for the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger to beat Liverpool to the German’s signature.
Wenger has two Schalke graduates already among his ranks in the form of Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac, and Meyer may gonna be a major includes in the Emirates ammunition. He has gone through 142 appearances in the Bundesliga, so it is expected that he should have no problem adapting to life in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old has earned a renewal since he has established himself to a more disciplined holding role under manager Domenico Tedesco, and we all explored Meyer’s rise back to his best at the Veltins-Arena.
The inclusion of Max Meyer in the Arsenal side will surely help them to be a title challenger in the next season. But they will face a stiff competition from another English club Liverpool to sign this Youngster in the next Summer. But the young German International may choose Arsenal over Liverpool considering Wenger’s strategy to give opportunities to the youngsters in his team. Now we have to wait and watch to see what is going to be the future of the German youngster in the next Summer Transfer Window.
