Real Madrid Captain told his teammates that Spanish Superstar would arrive from Manchester United next summer. Sergio Ramos is confident that the Los Blancos will go ahead and sign fellow Spaniard David De Gea from the Red Devils in the summer. Real Madrid are desperately looking to bolster their keeping options and are looking to get rid of either one of Casila or Keylor Navas. Athletic Bilbao keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was strongly linked to the 12 time Champions League winners but Zidane didn’t want to make a move since he was happy with the performances of Casila and Navas.
Arrizabalaga didn’t wait for the Royals much and penned a new 6 year deal with the Basque club clearing all doubts surrounding his future. Kepa could’ve been a great addition to this Real Madrid side, considering how poor they have been at the back this season.
Florentino Perez has apparently assured Ramos that the club will try and land De Gea this summer. De gea has been nothing but excellent for Manchester United this season. In 25 Premier League appearances he has managed to keep 14 clean sheets 2 more than Thibaut Courtois.
Manchester United will be reluctant to let go of their star player and will definitely find it tough to replace him. The 27 year old was so close to join Real Madrid 3 years ago but a deadline day “Fax Machine” blunder destroyed all his hope’s to sign for Real in 2015.
The Red Devils will certainly demand a hefty fee for De Gea considering the inflation of the current market. They wouldn’t let him go for less than €100m considering his quality and what he brings to the side.
The La Liga champions are also keeping tabs on Chelsea’s No. 1 shot stopper Thibaut Courtois if at all they fail to land David De Gea.
A few Spanish media outlets have reported that De Gea has apparently asked fellow compatriot Sergio Ramos for his aid to help him in order to complete his switch from United. De Gea is desperately looking for a way out of England and does not want to leave Manchester United on bad terms and has hence asked for help to ease his way out and leave on a good note with the Manchester United faithfulls.
Zidane is certainly under pressure this season as they find themselves 19 points behind Legaue leaders Barcelona and have been kicked out embarrassingly by minnows Leganes in the Copa Del Rey. Real Madrid will face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League’s round of 16 and the match is going to be an interesting one.
It is clear that the Los Blancos will have to do well in the Champions League or else the Frenchman will lose his job by the end of the season. The World Cup winner has also made it clear that he is not looking to bring in any new player to the squad and will evaluate his options in the end of the season, but whether Real Madrid land their man in De Gea or not only time will tell.
