Breaking: Top Liverpool Stars To Miss The Match Against Newcastle United

Premier League is still interesting if you are not a Manchester City supporter. Well, then you may have already got the satisfaction to win the league, but what’s in that glory if it is not well fought? If it is not exciting and have no fear to lose? Apart from the top position, where City is clear of sixteen points from the rest, the remaining in top 4 is on head to head competition. Manchester United is at second place with 59 points. Liverpool is at third with 57 and Tottenham is at fourth with 55. Chelsea is not far enough though. They are holding the fifth position with 53, though their fans are hoping to hold the sixth position and grab the Champions League like they did last time! (Take it as a joke)

So what is the moral is, one match draw or defeat, you can lose your position from top 4 and may be the next Champions League ticket (unless you are winning this season).

Liverpool are hosting visitors Newcastle today in the Premier League which may guide them to have the second place in the table, but things won’t be easy for the Reds as they are gonna miss two vital players from the squad. Midfielder Gini Wijnaldum may be absent today against his former club as he didn’t recover from the illness that also kept him out of the West Ham game last weekend. The other one is Ben Woodburn, who is also missing the clash due to illness. Apart from these two, the rest is quite healthy and ready to head the last three months of the season.

A round of applause for the club management and medical stuffs that a single injury never cramped the squad rhythm. It can be said lucky, but i would refer to a clever management. The cautious approach to make return of Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana from their long term injury, much credit goes to the German manager Klopp, who never push his men to return too early. Despite that, he kept trust on Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold to cover for Clyne. Even minor injuries of Jordan Henderson, Alberto Moreno and Joel Matip failed to make desperate the German.

The clever rotation of the devastating trio forward of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in December and January has kept them fresh and hungry to give their best in the last part of the session.

Liverpool is one of the emerging sides of Premier League who came from the ashes in respect of the last season performances. They are one of the favourites in the Champions League and looking comfortable to be in the last eight as they thrashed Porto in the first leg of Round of sixteen by 5 to nil. After the second leg, there will be clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Everton they are gonna face in the Premier League and if they finish second in the table, would we feel surprised? I guess, i felt they had the potential to be the champions!
