Liverpool are already qualified for the quarter finals of Champions League and they are seeming one of the favourites with the devastating trio in front. Along with Liverpool only Manchester City have survived for the quarter finals, where Manchester United and Chelsea have been already already eliminated.
The attacking trio of Firmino, Salah and Mané have more goals in their bag than the whole Manchester United this season, but the midfield is still sloppy for the Reds. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already started to prepare for the next season. As the Summer window is coming near, the transfer negotiations and speculations are becoming prominent at Anfield.
According to the report, the German manager is after the Serbian winger Filip Kostic . They showed interest in the Serbian back in 2016 Summer, but the deal fail to happen. Tottenham and Liverpool both wanted the winger, but Hamburg signed Kostic from Bundesliga rivals Stuttgart for £12m instead. Liverpool has got a German manager and has a massive German link. Nearly after two years after Kostic’s Hamburg move, Liverpool is feeling the importance of a young winger like him in the team.
Though it is not too late for the Reds to grab the Serbian and he could be available in a cheap rate. His performances have not been that mark since his Hamburg move and the Bundesliga side look doomed to relegation. Though the deal can be a fire sell in the Summer, as HSV look to meet financial demands. Kostic, who is one of the valuable and highest-earners may help the club in their financial debt. Looking into the form Kostic is going underneath, Liverpool may withdraw their interest on him.
For the National team, though he has been in a good form and Liverpool may get him in a cut price. With World Cup approaching near, Kostic will be looking into some serious match time and being in Liverpool would give him a supreme place to shine in the World Cup. Liverpool may approach the Serbian in two ways, either through a transfer failure, where the Reds would be happy with and the other way is a bargain. Either way, it would be beneficial for Liverpool.
The current season has been a roller coaster ride for the Anfield armies. The German manager has emphasised more over the defensive half of the squad. Liverpool has conceded 34 goals in Premier League till now. Though they are in 4th position in the league table, but with the ammunition up front, they could be the leaders. Klopp, who is famous for his futuristic plans, managed to buy Virgil Van Dijk and may put their strengths a more heavier on building a proper defensive wall next season. It is expected that they won’t face any financial problem as the ‘Coutinho money’ is still in the bank. The next season may witness several new faces at Anfield, where Kostic can be one of them. He is young and has a box of potential which may thrive well in Premier League.
