Can Manchester United Tempt This Star Striker For Old Trafford Stay

Jose Mourinho

Another star, another rumour, another deal. It was expected that Manchester United will bear him no longer after the current season, but maybe this news got confirmed a little early for his fan and followings. The Swedish Greek God Zlatan Ibrahimovic is leaving Manchester United in summer window. Ibrahimovic is 36 now and suffering from anterior cruciate ligament injury. He has been featured only once in the current term of Premier League, in the home boxing day draw against Burnley, where he was substituted at half time. He has not made his comeback since then, though he may break his international retirement to play for Sweden in the World Cup.

Mourinho handed the prolific striker an one year extension back in August despite of his knee injury, but this time he himself gave statement about his departure from Old Trafford.

Ibrahimovic joined the Red Devils on July 1 2016 as a free agent on a one year contract, with a salary of £200,000 per week. Since then, he managed to score 17 times and guided his side to clinch the Europa League last time.

The universe of Football has witnessed many to go for money and join the Chinese League. Players like Oscar, Lavezzi, Hulk, Tevez went to China to have money and more playing minutes. On the other hand, the Americans were never to far. MLS successfully handled many stars like Schweinsteiger, Villa or Kaka.

According to the sources, Ibrahimovic is reported to have a move to Los Angeles FC of MLS. Before today, it was only some rumours and the Manager’s statements which were in talk, but now, the player himself gave a further hint that he may leave Premier League after the ongoing one. Where he started his career in Manchester United with No.9, this season he was handed the prestigious No.10, but can a man overcome his destiny?

The Swedish International said to the reporters that he did not know that several Swedes used to go for MLS. That means it’s tempting to play in the United States and added that Los Angeles is a nice city and he had been there a lot on vacation. It is laid-back and he thinks that it’s rumours all the time [about his future]. When he plays and when he does not play it is rumours. It is good according to him, it means he is alive.

Though the former PSG star has been training with United, but not expected to play the away match against Crystal Palace on Monday. Ibrahimovic is confident about his comeback and believes it is happening soon and said that he feels good, he has been training with the team for two weeks and it feels good. He also said that he needs to practice, a lot of practice, exercise and play to put the movements in my head. He seems desperate to get some more match-like situations because he has been away for quite some time now.

On the other hand, other Manchester stars Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind may miss the trip to Palace ground.
