Why Liverpool Is Actually Becoming The Team To Beat In Europe

Liverpool are now through to the next round of UEFA Champions League with a 0-0 draw at Anfield on Tuesday. The match was well over in Portugal when Liverpool were victorious against Porto with an huge margin of 5-0. It was so much devastating scoreline for a side to make a comeback possible. The Portuguese side FC Porto were never in the contention in the whole tie. They were without any determination to play in the second leg. In the first leg, almost all of their hopes were diminished. After that, it was a mismatch at Anfield against the Reds for Porto as it was the second team of Liverpool which had played in the second leg.

Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah- the trio is now one of the causes of the nightmare of the defenders of European football. The devastating power of this three players in combined way is really a treat to watch out for the football fans. The Egyptian star player Mohamed Salah is the sensation of this season. He had outplayed every team in the Premier League this season. It was no matter for him which team he is playing against, he is just delivering his level best. The opponent defenders are getting scared before playing against Liverpool due to this Mohamed Salah Factor. Liverpool were without Mohamed Salah in the match against Porto in the second leg of round of 16 in UEFA Champions League.

The match of Liverpool and Porto had ended with a scoreline of 0-0. Liverpool went through with an aggregate scoreline of 5-0 in the Quarter Final. The way Liverpool are playing nowadays, their fans are starting to believe that their good old days are back. They are dreaming to beat any opponent in the next round with this kind of display. They might face one of two La Liga Giants Real Madrid or Barcelona in the next round. It will be really interesting to see how they play against those big clubs. The strategies of Jurgen Klopp will surely be tested against the Superpowers of Europe. Mohamed Salah will also be keen to play in such a high voltage match as that match will be one of his chances to prove himself in the biggest event of Europe. Mohamed Salah is already in the way of winning the Golden Boot in the Premier League this season with 24 goals; same with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.

The defense of Liverpool will be the main concern for Jurgen Klopp against the stronger opponents. Liverpool conceded many Goals this season which was not highlighted due to their frontline’s sensational performance in this season. The combination of Van Dijk and Matip will be playing in the Quarter Final for the Reds. They have to perform their best in the match to keep a clean sheet against the tougher opponents.

Liverpool are currently situated in 3rd position in the League Table in Premier League. They will now face Manchester United on Sunday in Premier League and all the football fans are excited about the match.
