In a shocking report published by The Sun, there are claims of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp taking over from Zinedine Zidane in at Real Madrid next season. The two European giants are in the semi-finals of the Champions League and could possibly end up in a thrilling final this term but that has not stopped the rumors of the manager change flooding in. Klopp has done a tremendous job since taking charge of Liverpool back in October 2015 after replacing Brendan Rodgers at the Red side of Merseyside.
Liverpool was struggling to put together a string of results but the former Borussia Dortmund boss turned it around in some quick time. He guided Liverpool to the League Cup and Europa League final but could not go the extra mile in either of the cup competitions.
In his first full year in charge of the Reds, Klopp helped the Reds to the fourth spot in the table and confirmed Champions League football, a tournament Liverpool is quite familiar with. And that Champions League progression has booked a semi-final spot this season with the possibility of winning the elite trophy for the sixth time.
Liverpool is also third on the Premier League table and has the opportunity of finishing second if fierce rivals Manchester United falter and drop points.
The 50-year-old German boss has already made the Anfield faithful believing in his abilities to reach great heights and the club is certainly moving forward under Klopp.
However, on the other hand, after winning two back to back Champions League titles as well as the La Liga last term, Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been unable to defend his Spanish title as they currently sit in fourth place, 15 points of fierce rivals Barcelona the top of the table as the Catalonian giants also won the Copa Del Rey earlier today.
All this glory for their most hated league rivals has built up the pressure on Zinedine Zidane and the French boss is on the verge of being sacked in the summer.
The assurance of Zidane keeping his job would depend on how the final stages of this season turn out regarding the Champions League, but basically, a trophy-less season at the Los Blancos means a change in managing personnel.
And with the success that Klopp has brought at Liverpool, many top clubs across the continent would want to hire him as their manager. His hard-work, determination, and passion for the game are visible for everyone to see.
He led Borussia Dortmund to two consecutive Bundesliga titles in a German league that was mainly dominated by powerhouse Bayern Munich. Even the German champions are keen on bringing him to the Allianz Arena next summer.
Although, Klopp is tied down with the Reds until June 2022 after penning a six-year deal back in July 2016.
According to me, I don’t believe that Jurgen Klopp would leave Liverpool at this stage because he is in this phase of creating something really special to cherish for the near future.
