Former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is now interested in signing Hector Bellerin from Arsenal, at the end of the current campaign, as he looks to fortify his squad by bringing in more top stars. The Manchester United main-man has not been happy with the way that his defence have been working this term, due to which they have lost some crucial games.
With that being said, the Portuguese manager is looking to bring in some reinforcements for his back-line and it seems that the Spaniard will be a good option for his squad.
The 23 year old superstar has been criticized for the way he has been performing in recent times, which has made him unhappy, though he has been trying his best to perform at the highest level.
He does not seem pleased being at the club at present and with Arsene Wenger set to leave at the end of the season, it could mean that Bellerin might leave too.
His former club Barcelona were interested in adding him to their squad some time ago, though a deal did not go through at that point of time.
Apart from the La Liga champs, there were claims that Serie A holders Juventus were also trying to add him to their squad.
Despite that, the north London giants were able to keep hold of him and will want to do the same, once the season ends.
However, Mourinho will have other plans, as he looks to sign him this summer, like he added Alexis Sanchez to his squad in January.
He will have the funds and Champions League football to proach this star and bring him in at Old Trafford, if he can convince him that he has a better future in Manchester.
Bellerin made his debut for the Londoners’ first team back in 2013 and has since then made more than 122 appearances in the league scoring 6 times.
He has been an integral part of the playing eleven under Wenger since he first burst onto the scene and has not really looked back.
However, his form has gone down in recent times, though the complete back-line has not really looked solid and it is the right-back who has been getting blamed.
He has been moved from the wings, to the centre and has played with different partners and in different kind of roles, including a left-back and a left-wing back too.
He is quite versatile in his play and can contribute both at the back and pushing up front too, which makes him a threat in front of the opposition goal.
Having him will really be a huge boost for the Manchester based side, which is the main reason why Mourinho wants to sign him.
With Wenger set to leave, there is no guarantee that the new manager that comes in will be able to keep hold of this star.
It will take quite a bit of convincing to get him stay, unless there is a title win or some major change at the club, with the fans having his back. He has been a loyal Arsenal star and it would be a huge loss to lose such a talent. On the other hand, Mourinho will be keen on bringing him in and taking advantage of the whole situation.
