Though he took time to settle in this London club, but finally he has showed the value he earned back in Spain. The transfer window for Chelsea this season has been a mixed profit for themselves. Where Morata and Giroud were well buyouts, Bakayoko proved fatal to the team. Fans went terribly dissaoointed by the performances of Tiemoue Bakayoko this season. Everyone expected a lot when the Belgian stepped into the Stamford Bridge after blistering performances both domestically and in Europe with AS Monaco, but went terribly flop and failed to deliver the promises he consistently used to demonstrate with the French club. It is seen that the 23-year-old struggled to adapt to the speed of the English League. He has regularly been caught in possession and made plenty of errors in judgement when under pressure. Though Bakayoko should be forgiven for his disasterous start in Premier League seeing he is only 23, but Football never forgives anyone. If all planning goes right for the Blues, he could be playing his football elsewhere next season.
Chelsea needs a quality midfielder. Fabregas is artistic but he often needs company. Someone fast and invasive and can do defensive role. According to the English media, Roma’s Radja Nainggolan is on target by the Blues. The Premier League side though will face stiff competition from Arsenal and Manchester United for his signature. Nainggolan is being rumoured with a move to Premier League from quite a season ago and after four seasons with the Italian giants, it is might be the best time to embark on a new challenge before it’s too late.
The Belgian International has got both experience and quality to get straight entry into the Chelsea squad. Nainggolan is strong and can do both attack and defense. He is incisive and decisive at one plate. Everyone witnessed how he changed the game against Barcelona in the second leg match of Champions League quarterfinal.
On the other hand, it seems Bakayoko needs more time at London to settle in and and their lack of patience could ultimately lead to his departure this summer. With the options like Cesc Fabregas, Danny Drinkwater, N’Golo Kante and Ross Barkley all currently in Chelsea’s squad, the addition of another central-midfielder would leave Bakayoko struggling for first-team opportunities. Though it is all up to the manager who must take the last decision. With ‘not so sure situation’ regarding the future of Antonio Conte at Chelsea, no one can say anything surely. Though it would be fair to assume that the arrival of Nainggolan would force Bakayoko to depart the club after just one season in West London.
Arsenal can also cash in for the Belgian as Wilshere can depart from the Emirates on a free transfer after this season. Aaron Ramsey seems fine, though his future is still uncertain. So Nainggolan would be the best option for the Gunners as he says he likes to take a harder path to trophies. Well, if you love struggle, don’t you should choose Manchester United? Jokes apart!
