Since last summer AC Milan have been one of the most active club in the transfer window spending close to €200m and snapping up a few big names like Andre Silva, Hakan Calhanoglu, Ricardo Rodriguez and former Juventus man Leonardo Bonucci and they are now preparing to secure the services of either Chelsea no.9 Alvaro Morata or former Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain. AC Milan will have a lot of convincing to do if they manage to come to deal with any one of the respective clubs as they have recently been banned from next seasons UEFA Europa League due to a breach regarding Financial Fair Play and are also set to miss out on the 2019 European competitions and with no European competition on the horizon for next couple of seasons it will be a tough task for the club to convince either of the players to join them.
The Rossoneri have also kept tabs on Fiorentina striker Nikola Kalinic who was also on loan to AC Milan last season but the Croatian international is also rumored to be interested in a move to current Europa League champions Atletico Madrid who have already agreed terms with the players agent and are waiting to put in a formal offer to the club. AC Milan are forced to sell couple of players before they can make a move for any of the names mentioned above. Multiple reports in Italy have claimed that Leonardo Bonucci or Spanish international Suso could be shown the door at the San Siro, with the arrival of Los Blancos superstar Ronaldo.
Juventus could be prepared to let go off Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain whom they bought a couple of seasons ago for €90m from League rivals Napoli. Newly appointed Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is keen to have a reunion with former player Higuain with the former managing him in Napoli during his time there. The former Real Madrid attacker has been a hit in Serie A since his arrival to Napoli in 2013 and so far he has raked up 146 goals for Juventus and Napoli combined and AC Milan would love to add him to their ranks with his vast experience in the League.
Alvaro Morata has so far not lived up to the expectation since his arrival to the Stamford Bridge from Champions League winners Real Madrid last season for a club record fee of €60m, The 25 year old Spaniard has managed to put in only 15 goals for the Blues and has laid 6 assists for his teammates, the Spanish international featured 47 times for Chelsea last season this shows that he is yet to settle down in England but with Sarri’s arrival it would be even more tough for the player and may be shown the door if he does not perform early in the season the way he used to at Madrid, AC Milan may try to pursue him to join them with Higuain going the other way, like this all the parties would be happy but there may be a few clubs still interested in Morata and they might try to lure him with European football but it remains to be seen what Sarri has in mind.
