Shocking: The Actual Reason Why Ronaldo Left Real Madrid For Juventus

Italian giants Juventus completed the deal, they have so eagerly been working on in the past few days. The Serie A giants completed the stunning signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in a deal worth €100m. Media has been speculating about this deal for a pretty good time now.  Cristiano Ronaldo hinted at a move this summer after the UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool. He made a rather cryptic and emotional comment after the Spanish giants win over Liverpool, that led them to secure a third European title in a row.

Fans have been going gaga about their star man leaving from then on, with even a few pundits going on to say that deal is still on.

Even Gianluigi Buffon who is a star player at Juventus (recently signed for French Champions Paris Saint Germain) claimed that he would not be surprised at all, should Cristiano Ronaldo sign for Juventus and don the legendary white and black stripes jersey.

Italian football expert Tancredi Palmeri claimed a few days back that Fiorentina Perez, Jorge Mendes and the Bianconeri are ready for crunch talks regarding Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese-sensation joins the Serie A giants on a four-year deal. The player and his star agent, Jorge Mendes, met with the Juventus chairman, Andrea Agnelli, in Greece today to discuss the final details of the deal.

The deal will make Ronaldo earn an annual salary of around €30m. In Italy, clubs have to pay the same amount in tax.  This takes the deal to a total cost of €340m (€100m transfer fee plus €240m in salary and taxes).

The current Ballon d’Or winner wrote an open letter to the Madrid fans worldwide. In the letter, he said “I only have feelings of gratitude for this club and for this city. I have had an absolutely nine wonderful years at the club.  I want to say thank you to the club, the President, the directors, my colleagues, all the staff, doctors, physios and incredible people that make everything work. HALA MADRID!!!”

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009 after six years at Manchester United. He won four Champions League titles, two league Championships, two Spanish Cups and three Fifa Club World Cups. He also became their top scorer ever, with 451 goals in 438 games. During this time, he won four Ballon d’Ors and three Golden Boots.

Spanish club Real Madrid even released a statement making it official that the Portuguese man is leaving the the city. The official statement read “For Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of our greatest symbols and a unique reference for our next generations. Real Madrid will always be your home.”

Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the seventh summer signing of the Italian club. The other six players being Emre Can, Giangiacomo Magnani, Andrea Favilli, Mattia Perin, Douglas Costa and Joao Cancelo. The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo leaves a huge void that the management would ponder over. For now, they   need to fill in the position as quickly as possible. Which player will sign for Real Madrid and wear the famous number 7 jersey is yet to be seen.

Reason for his departure-

The main reason why Ronaldo left for Juventus is because Perez did not back him in his tax fraud case publicly, which saw the forward get a prison sentence and had to pay a huge fine eventually. This was not acceptable for the attacker, who was one of their best stars and had given a lot over the years for the club. Had Los Blancos shown a little support for him, things could have been so different.
