Match Preview : Salah Magic Or Can Chelsea Outclass Liverpool In The Premier League This Time?

Chelsea will play their seventh match in the Premier League against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. These two teams are still unbeaten in the Premier League along with Manchester City. Liverpool have won all their previous six matches so far in the Premier League while the Blues have lost 2 points against West Ham United in the previous week in the away match at London Stadium.

The things have been changed a bit in the midweek as the Blues were able to beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday with a margin of 2-1. Liverpool took the lead in the match with a back volley goal by Daniel Sturridge. The things have been changed completely after three substitutions made by Maurizio Sarri. The former Napoli manager has brought in Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kante and David Luiz in place of Willian, Mateo Kovacic and Andreas Christensen in the second half of the match. Eden Hazard’s brilliant goal has been proved to be the winner against Liverpool in this match and the stunning goal will give the Blues certain confidence ahead of their clash against Liverpool within the difference of three days.

Both the teams had made eight changes in their first team in the Carabao Cup match. So, we can expect a match of different level in this occasion. Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino will play from the beginning in this match. So it will be a different ball game altogether.

Team News :

Liverpool :

The Reds will be desperate to win the match to stay at the top of the table in the Premier League. They will surely field the strongest first eleven in this match against the Blues. Virgil Van Dijk’s injury is under scanner. Jurgen Klopp will try his level best to play with the Dutch defender in this match. Joe Gomez should be back in the starting lineup of the Reds while Alisson also should make it to the first team of Liverpool. Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander Arnold will be there in the defense at both the flanks. Naby Keita, Wijnaldum and James Milner will be there in the midfield for Liverpool against the Blues on Saturday. Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane will feature in the attacking third of the Reds in this match.

Chelsea :

Chelsea will be probably without Ruben Loftus Cheek, Antonio Rudiger and Pedro might not be able to play this match for the Blues at Stamford Bridge. The Blues might have to play with a new defensive pair of David Luiz and Andreas Christensen in the central defense. Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta will be there at both the flanks. Olivier Giroud will be the starting lineup of the Blues in this match against Liverpool. Willian and Hazard will lead the attacking line of Chelsea in this match.
