Match Preview : Will It Be An Easy Win For Liverpool Against Southampton In The Premier League, Star Still Missing?

Liverpool will face Southampton in the sixth game week of Premier League on Saturday. The Reds have won all five matches in the Premier League so far and they have also the precious victory against Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday in the first Group Stage match with a margin of 3-2 at Anfield. Liverpool are having a tough set of fixtures in the upcoming weeks. They will face Chelsea twice in the next week in English League Cup and Premier League. Then they have to go to play an away match against Napoli on next Wednesday in the Champions League. After that, they will face Manchester City in the Premier League. So, we can say that the tough time has begun for Liverpool under the management of Jurgen Klopp. They have previously faced Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on previous Saturday in the Premier League with a margin of 2-1. In this match against Southampton it might be an easy win for the Reds on this Saturday.

Team News :

Liverpool :

Jurgen Klopp can go for changes in this match against the Saints. But, Mohamed Salah need to get back to his goal scoring form very quickly and this match at Anfield can be a perfect chance for him to get back to his previous goal scoring form in this season. According to several sources, Sadio Mane could have been rested in this match to keep him fit ahead of the match against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup in the midweek. Roberto Firmino will be back in this match after getting an eye injury against Tottenham Hotspur in the previous Saturday. Roberto Firmino was not in the starting eleven of the Reds against the Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League match on Tuesday. Daniel Sturridge has got the opportunity to play in the first team. The English striker has proven his worth in the team by scoring the opening goal of the match. If Sadio Mane gets the adequate rest in this match, there is chance for Xherdan Shaqiri’s debut against Southampton in Liverpool colours today.

Alisson will surely be there under the bars for the Reds. Jurgen Klopp might not opt for changes in the defense as the central defensive pair of Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez would be ready to take part in the match. On the other hand, Trent Alexander Arnold and Andrew Robertson will be there to play at both the flanks in the defense for the Reds. Naby Keita, Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson are three midfielders to begin in this match for Liverpool.

Southampton :

Danny Ings is ineligible to play in this match against his parent club. So, Southampton might go with a 4-5-1 formation in this match at Anfield, instead of their normal formation with two attacking players up front.
