Chelsea Want Antonio Conte To Take Over As Real Madrid Boss, Here’s Why

Antonio Conte might be out of the contention to replace Julen Lopetegui at Real Madrid. The club management of the Los Blancos have appointed Santiago Solari as the interim manager till the International Break after sacking Julen Lopetegui on Monday. Real Madrid were thrashed by Barcelona in the El Clasico at Camp Nou on Sunday with a margin of 5-1. The margin of defeat was shocking for the Real Madrid’s fans all over the World. It was almost clear to everybody that Julen Lopetegui could not continue his job as the manager of Real Madrid after this poor result.

The club management have also acted quickly; Julen Lopetegui has to depart early because of the poor performance of his side. Was Julen Lopetegui only responsible for this poor results of Real Madrid? The answer should be a big ‘No’. Real Madrid club management have failed to land a proper replacement of Cristiano Ronaldo in this summer transfer window. It was not the right decision of the club management. Cristiano Ronaldo was the best player of the club for the last decade by far. After his departure, the club management of Real Madrid should have brought in a prolific goalscorer like him. Real Madrid are lacking a proper centre forward right at this moment and Karim Benzema is no more reliable.

In this circumstances, Santiago Solari, the manager of Castilla, took the charge of Real Madrid. The job is not going to be easy for him as their left back Marcelo will be out of action for four weeks. The experienced centre-back Raphael Varane is also unavailable for two weeks. Real Madrid club management want to find a permanent successor of Zinedine Zidane at the club. There were talks between Antonio Conte and the club management of Real Madrid about the new job. But Real Madrid have to pay the release clause of £10.8m to Chelsea to have Antonio Conte as their new manager.

On the other hand, Antonio Conte wants a long term contract while the likes of Perez are thinking him as a short term solution. There are some legal issues of Antonio Conte with Chelsea too and the Blues are playing Waiting game in this situation. So, it is seeming that the possibility of Antonio Conte to be the new manager of Real Madrid is decreasing day by day. The Blues should be smart in this deal. We all know that Real Madrid are targeting to rope in Eden Hazard in the next summer transfer window.

The Belgian winger has also stated that he would like to go to Real Madrid if they need him. If Antonio Conte becomes the manager of Real Madrid, the move of Eden Hazard can be blocked. The relationship between Antonio Conte and Eden Hazard is not very good. The former manager of Chelsea has played him out of position many times in the previous season and the Belgian winger is reportedly unhappy about it. So, the situation is going to be very much interesting in the next few days for Real Madrid and Antonio Conte.
