Pundit Says Jose Mourinho Will Still Get The Sack, Amid Talks With Zinedine Zidane

Luka Jovic

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is on the verge of sacking. The situation of Jose Mourinho might overturn after the thrilling victory against Newcastle United on Saturday in the Premier League. The Red Devils were two goals down in that match. From there, they have made a comeback and won the match with a scoreline of 3-2. Though, Harry Redknapp still feels that Jose Mourinho should be sacked from his managerial job. According to Harry Redknapp, a better team than Newcastle United could have easily sealed the win against Manchester United on that day.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have lost their previous Premier League match against West Ham United. The draw against Valencia at Old Trafford has made the situation worse for them. It was seeming that the pressure is continuously rising on Jose Mourinho. The players were not delivering their level best performance in the field. The manager has also lost the control of the dressing room. Things were certainly not going in the way of Jose Mourinho. The name of Zinedine Zidane was well on the cards to become the new manager of Manchester United. But somehow, after the win against Newcastle United, the pressure is now slightly less on Jose Mourinho. The International Break might have come at the right time for the Red Devils. The players badly needed a break after the shambolic performance over last few weeks.

Jose Mourinho is again seeming to gain his confidence back. After the win against Newcastle United, the manager of the Red Devils has told the media to stop the speculations about his future at Old Trafford. He has also clarified that he would leave the club when the club management would ask him to do that. He has not yet received any phone call from the club management regarding this.

On the other hand, Zinedine Zidane’s name is on the cards for the vacant managerial job for Manchester United. The Red Devils have enquired about the availability of Zinedine Zidane to be the next manager of Manchester United as per sources. But the recent reports are suggesting that Zinedine Zidane is not eager to get into a new job as of now. His agent has made it clear that the Frenchman is taking rest for one season after three successful years at Real Madrid. Zidane will not like to take the pressure of the games very quickly. Moreover about coaching in England, Zinedine Zidane has not decided anything yet. According to his agent, the football in English Premier League is not the cup of team of the legendary French footballer. So, it will be very odd if Zinedine Zidane joins Manchester United right now.

So, we can say that the job of Jose Mourinho is still secured. The club management of Manchester United believe to give time to every manager. So, they will still give some time to Jose Mourinho. On the basis of the performance of Manchester United in this season, the club management will take a decision about it at the end of this season.
