Arsenal are plotting a move to sell Mesut Ozil £25m in January as Inter Milan are interested in the play-maker. The German has struggled to cement in the first eleven under Unai Emery in the recent week as the Gunners have been in a stunning unbeaten run. Ozil also has been plagued with a back problem keeping him out of Emery’s plans.
The German is growing impatient with the time he is spending on the field and Arsenal have an opportunity to cash in on the 30-year old as Inter Milan are keen to secure the midfielder in January itself.
According to the Sun, Arsenal are also weighing up a move to allow Ozil leave for a considerable low amount in order to get rid of his £350,000-per-week off their charts.
The 30-year old missed Arsenal’s latest 1-0m win over Huddersfield and was all praises about his team-mates after the win. The former Real Madrid man was also the centre point of the controversy where footage shown revealed the player and some of his teammates taking nitrous oxide at a nightclub before the start of the season. It is obvious that the seniors associated with the club were not impressed by the behaviour of the player through their performances have been a lot to cheer about.
The cagey 1-0 win over Terriers marked Arsenal’s 20th match in the unbeaten streak under Unai Emery. The Spaniard has infused a sense of self-belief among the players which was somewhat missing in them when he arrived. Emery has perfectly understood the dynamic of the players in his ranks and is currently trying to get the best of them.
Emery’s summer transfer have also impressed with Lucas Torreira hogging most of the limelight and deservedly so. The Uruguayan has been livewire on the field, his tenacity and willingness to take that extra yard for the crest is something fading away from modern football. When in dire straits the young midfielder always come up with a solution, just like last day against Huddersfield he scored a stunning overhead kick right at the 83rd minute to bag important three points for the Gunners. French youngster Matteo Guendouzi has also been very impressive as there was not a lot of expectation from him but he has definitely exceeded all of it.
In all of this, the Gunners are currently buzzing, though they are in 5th position currently they have kept the pressure for the top four spot, Ozil’s absence has not impacted the Gunners’ play massively. It has been discussed earlier that whether Arsenal are doing the right thing letting someone like Aaron Ramsey leave when the like of Ray Parlour and thousands of fans wants Ramsey to stay and thinks he has more to offer for the club and it should be rather farewell for Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal hopefully will not allow both of the midfielders to leave at once and with their impression of finally deciding Ozil’s departure may mean that Ramsey can be the one end up staying at the Emirates for longer.
