The face of a young generation and the United States of America, Christian Pulisic has expressed his desire to join Premier League and this statement has gone wide throughout the media. The 20-year-old winger has been one of the most talked forwards in Europe after his success in the Bundesliga and only has a contract with the German club until the end of the 2019/20 season.
The USA international has been linked to several Premier League sides including Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham in the past but it is understood that Chelsea have shown the most interest in praising him away from the Bundesliga leaders. However as the winter window is at the doorsteps, the winger has hinted his next move regarding his career and as he said that they are having a great year at Dortmund and he is enjoying every moment of that. He also said that when the time will come for him to talk in the breaks about his future, things will happen by its own. As he said that he tends to stay away from that stuff. He knows that it is not his priority to go out there at Premier League but he would love to join. He admits that England and the Premier League is a league where lots of kids dream of playing and so he does.
Pulisic joined the German side Borussia Dortmund as a 16-year-old and has been restricted to four league starts this season because of the arrival of Sancho’s emergence. The former Manchester City forward has got success at Germany and has also led the club to express interest in signing his former England Under-17 teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi as a potential replacement for Pulisic. So as the news suggests, the 18-year-old could be allowed to leave Chelsea on loan in January as he is having limited first-team opportunities. Liverpool are also a long time suitors for this winger. They bid £11m for him in August 2016, but Dortmund rejected the offer. Tottenham went after Pulisic in 2017 while Chelsea and Manchester United have also shown their interest on the young United States international. Not only is Pulisic one of the most bright future youngsters in the game of football at the age of 20, but his nationality also makes him a lucrative commercial opportunity for the club.
However, the setting in of Sancho at Borussia may push Pulisic out of the squad and that may trigger his move to England and Premier League sides are ready to welcome the young aspect. However, Chelsea haven’t so many vacant places to give him chance. On the other hand, Manchester United or Tottenham may get so many benefits if they get success to sign the young winger. However, Chelsea are the prime suiters as Hudson Odoi is on the exchange deal who may get the Blues what they are wanting. Liverpool have already a well-established trio up front, though they aren’t working that good this season. Salah hasn’t scored any goal in big matches and both Firmino and Mane look inconsistent.
