Wayne Rooney Believes That Only This Man Should Manage Manchester United

According to the latest reports, former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has revealed that current interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be given the Manchester United job on a permanent basis. The Norwegian has done a tremendous job since taking charge of the club and he has convinced England and United’s all-time top goalscorer Wayne Rooney.

Manchester United was going through a torrid time at the start of the season when Jose Mourinho was in charge of the club. The Portuguese manager instilled a very defensive philosophy at United and it was something that the United faithful were not used to seeing from their club on a regular basis. The stale football was getting the air toxic around Old Trafford and it was only a matter of time before the ‘Special One’ got the sack. With no results and dire football, Liverpool handed Mourinho the final nail in his managerial coffin after a 3-1 defeat back in December and Mourinho was fired just a few days later.

The Red Devils then turned to a familiar face in the form of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and he has turned the fortunes of the club after only a few months in charge. Solskjaer was initially hired as a caretaker at least until the end of the season but he has exceeded expectations at the helm. The 46-year-old guided United into the quarter-finals of the Champions League after a dramatic 3-1 win over Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain when they traveled to the Parc Des Princes trailing 2-0.

With positive tactics and attacking football, the baby faced assassin has won the hearts of the United faithful once again. The Red half of Manchester are currently sitting in fifth place on the League table and are still in the hunt for a top-four place to be eligible to compete in the Champions League next term.

Solskjaer has won 15 of his first 19 games in charge of the club and some people believe that Solskjaer should get the job on a permanent basis.

Even ex-Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney, who left the Theatre Of Dreams earlier in the summer of 2017 spoke to talkSport and praised the current United boss, “He has gone in with simplicity and has brought belief back to the fans, He has made the place enjoyable again to go into work every day. The staff around Carrington is enjoying working there again and that does rub off. “

The 33-year-old Rooney, who is currently playing his football at DC United went on to explain the reason why Solskjaer should be Manchester United manager permanently, “When you see the staff happy around the players, it makes it a happy environment to work in. He is doing a fantastic job and I am sure he is the only candidate for Manchester United to take that job. It will be great to see him get it and bring some of the players he wants to bring in and keep moving the club forward.”

Well, this is some strong support that the attacker has now shown for the United boss and only time will tell whom the management deems fit to be the permanent manager.
