Serie A Superstar Could Be On His Way To Arsenal; Though Tottenham, Manchester United And West Ham Want Him Too

Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic is certainly a man in demand with English Premier League giant Arsenal joining a list of clubs interested in signing the player. According to reports, Arsenal have entered the race to sign Croatian star Ivan Perisic, but are set to face tough competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham.

According to David Ornstein of BBC Sport, the winger was reportedly a top January transfer target for Arsenal, but a move from Inter couldn’t be finalized. Having joined the Italian side from Wolfsburg back in 2015 for €16 Million, Perisic made his debut on 2nd October, and has made 135 appearances since then, scoring 35 times across all appearances. Perisic happens to be one heck of a talent. The Croatian is the perfect example of a direct winger, and as things stand he is very strong in 1v1 situations. Being strong on both feet, Perisic has many angles to work with in terms of shooting and passing.

Instead, Arsenal have got Denis Suarez from Barcelona on a loan deal, but as he prepares to head back at the end of the season, Unai Emery will need to strengthen his options in the final third ahead of next season. According to The Sun, monitoring their current situation Arsenal remain interested in signing Perisic, but their task could be getting tougher with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United also interested in the winger.

Perisic: I Have Dreamed Of Playing In England

Speaking ahead of Inter Milan’s group stage clash against Tottenham Hotspur back in November, Perisic said that he has always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and is keen on a move to England.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI Sport, Perisic said: “Yes playing in the Premier League is my dream but we will see if I can still do it. I am already 30 years old but it has always been my dream to play in England. We will see if I still have time [to play in England].”

Perisic to Old Trafford?

It has been reported that many clubs have been placed on red alert with rumours surfacing that Perisic has reportedly handed in a transfer request. Tottenham and Manchester United are specifically mentioned as interested clubs, with Perisic’s bailing out price being set at £35m. However, as of now as things stand, Perisic’s future lies in Italy.

The winger will now be back in action on Sunday when I Nerazzurri hosts I Giallorossi as they fight for the domestic honour. He is one heck of a quality player, which he showcased back at the World Cup in Russia, last year. With that being said, all these clubs will be in the hunt to sign him and make him one of their top stars, who can really help them win titles.

Emery has big ambitions with the north London giants too, which is why he too will be keen to sign Perisic, at the end of the current season with the expectations of the fans growing with every game that he wins.
