Manchester United Eyeing To Make A Move For This Real Madrid Star (Not Bale)

A new start to an old saga. The French magician is back at the Santiago Bernabeu and Real Madrid have started winning matches. The urge and thrust of winning battles has returned again to the squad. It is well known that Madrid will definitely go after the summer break window to recruit their armoury stock. Zidane has been vocal about his plans and Perez may not just stick to his old cramps and flaws.

It has been rumoured that Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappe are being targeted along with Eden Hazard for next season. Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has already expressed his desire to play under Zidane. However, the English Premier League side have been doing pretty well. Though they had been beaten by Wolves before the international break, the Red Devils thumped back yesterday and had their three valuable points against Watford. United may need some new faces too next term. As the news is buzzing, Ole has targeted the Madrid Frenchman Raphael Varane.

Manchester United are all set to invest funds in other positions this summer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reported to have mend up their defence after taking over from Jose Mourinho. United were interested in Bayern Munich’s talisman Jerome Boateng and Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld. But they only got young right-back Diogo Dalot to bolster their defence.
Interestingly, since Mourinho’s exit, United’s defence has been strong, going from being the fifth worst in the Premier League to fourth place now.

Despite investing over £60m in Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof, Mourinho insisted that he needed a new defender. Solskjaer has brought about an upturn in form Lindelof, while Phil Jones and Chris Smalling have also improved. It has been reported that United sources insist that the club was prepared to shell out £100m for a star like Varane. However, they may not invest £50m for the likes of Boateng and Alderweireld. Boateng has been retired from international duty by Germany boss Joachim Low and Alderweireld has turned 30 too, having questionable injury records.

On the other hand, Varane is 25, though he is in no rush to leave Real Madrid and recently welcomed back Zinedine Zidane as manager. As the Frenchman said that it is not true that he is not happy at Real Madrid. He also added that he is at Real Madrid, which is the biggest club in the world. He is constantly in a state of challenging himself because the requirement there is that of the highest level.

Varane focused on his career and according to him, they had a tough time in the middle of the season where they had to fight. He thinks that he has given his all in that shirt and he can be proud of that. The World Cup winning centre-back also said that he cannot control everything that is being said in the media but many things aren’t right but he can’t say he is unhappy in Madrid.

Manchester United will now be back in action on Sunday when they travel to John Smith’s stadium to play Huddersfield as the battle for a ‘top-four’ finish is still on.
