Arsenal Preparing Three Alternative Players For Wilfried Zaha; Who Will The Best Signing?

According to the latest reports, Premier League side Arsenal is preparing three alternate offers for three different players in case they are unable to snap up a deal for Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace. The three alternate players that the Gunners are looking to sign are Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser, Dalian Yifang Yannick Carrasco and Barcelona’s Malcolm each valued at £40m, £25m and £50m respectively.

Unai Emery’s first season as Arsenal manager did not go according to plan despite getting off to a great start in the early part of the season. The Spanish boss took the north London side on a 22 game unbeaten streak across all competitions and there was an air of positivity around the Emirates after former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger left the club.

The Transfer News Involving Arsenal And The Players Linked With The Club

The 69-year-old French manager had been in charge of Arsenal for 22 long years. He managed to win quite a few honours during his tenure. These included three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups. However, in the final few years of his managerial career in the English capital, Wenger was unable to adapt to the newer generation of managers. He was outwitted leaving the fan base quite toxic. Even the most ardent of Arsenal fans wanted him to leave.

Emery’s appointment brought in a breath of fresh air into the club. A top-four finish looked inevitable until a stunning collapse towards the back end of the campaign. The North London outfit managed to finish in fifth place.

They had another chance of making it into Europe’s elite tournament. That is if they won the Europa League final against Chelsea. However, the Blues hammered their local London rivals 4-1 in Baku. This was indicating that there is a lot of work to be done for the 46-year-old Emery over the summer. That is if he wants to win titles with Arsenal.

In order to bolster his attack, Emery is looking to sign a few star players that could add width to his team and has lined up three alternatives if a move for Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace does not materialize. The Gunners are looking to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser after the Scotsman had a great season with the cherries last summer but the Premier League club are demanding £40m for the 25-year-old energetic winger.

What Next With Regards To The Belgian International; Which Club Will He Sign For?

Yannick Carrasco is another player that Arsenal is looking to sign. The Belgian is keen on a move back to Europe after a spell with Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League. Carrasco is valued at around £25m. The Chinese club is demanding around £40m for the former Atletico Madrid man.

The third player that Arsenal is looking to sign is Barcelona outcast Malcolm. That is as the 22-year-old failed to impress during his time at the Camp Nou. The Catalonian giants are looking to offload the Brazilian winger. Arsenal can afford him on a loan deal because Barcelona is demanding £50m for their winger.

The bad news for Arsenal is that they have only £40m in their transfer war chest. The Londoners will have to sell some of their own players to generate transfer funds.
