Breaking: Chelsea Fans Target This Blues’ Star, Call Him Pathetic

According to the latest reports, Chelsea fans aren’t too happy with their new number 10 Willian, despite the fact that he just made 200 Premier League appearances for the club. The Brazilian winger has come under some heavy criticism from the Blues faithful over the recent few weeks and some of them took to social media site Twitter to express their rage.

Chelsea is in a bit of a tough spot at the moment as they just lost one of their most key players Eden Hazard to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. The 28-year-old Belgian was exceptional for the Blues but had his heart set on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu for quite a while and his wish came true this summer. Hazard joined the Los Blancos in a staggering £132m deal earlier this summer and Chelsea lost their number 10.

Even Maurizio Sarri decided that it was time to move away from Stamford Bridge after just one season in charge of Chelsea and the Italian decided to return to his native as the Juventus job opened up. The 60-year-old master tactician was then replaced by a familiar face at Chelsea in the form of Frank Lampard.

The 41-year-old Lampard had just one year of management experience at Derby County when he almost guided the Rams to Premier League qualification last season. Lampard has not had an easy task because along with the departure of Eden Hazard, the West London side is enduring a transfer ban which does not allow them to sign any players for the next two transfer windows. This means that Lampard will have to make to with the squad that he has for the next season along with the players that have been called back from their loan spells.

One player who was set to step up his game following the departure of Eden Hazard was Brazilian winger Willian as the 31-year-old was handed over the number 10 jersey previously worn by Hazard. Willian though has not really been shown a great affection by the Chelsea faithful over the last few weeks because of a couple of poor performances.

Willian made 200 appearances for Chelsea in the Premier League ever since his arrival from Anzhi Makhachkala back in 2013 when the Blues paid around £30m for his services. Since then, Willian has helped Chelsea to win the Premier League on two occasions, One League Cup, One FA Cup, and one Europa League but his numbers do not showcase his worth to the club as he has netted a mere 28 goals along with 26 assists.

Fans on Twitter took Willian’s message quite disruptively and one of them even said, “Leave my club for good ASAP.”

Another under his post said, “And 28 goals or so. Pathetic.”

Another added, “A goal every 8 or so, you are better than that, you can do a goal every 4 this year.”

Willian’s current contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of the season, though the fans are really not ready to see him stay beyond that. Hopefully, the club can get in better replacements for their underperforming star, once their transfer ban is lifted.
