AS Roma are eyeing to make a move for the star Chelsea winger as the Gunners have rejected the bid for Henrikh Mkhitaryan twice. The club management of the Gunners wants at least £18m for the star Armenian player. However, AS Roma are not ready to pay more than £10m. Currently, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is at AS Roma on loan from the Londoners. The club management of AS Roma have tried to make the move permanent. However, at this point in time, things are looking very much uncertain.
So, AS Roma are trying to look for alternative options of Henrikh Mkhitaryan for the next season. The star Chelsea winger, Pedro is topping the list. Pedro’s contract will expire after the end of this season. The club management of the Blues have not yet started a new contract talk with Pedro. However, the Spanish winger has made it clear that he wants to stay at Chelsea if the club management offers him a new contract. Otherwise, all options are open for him.
Pedro joined the Blues in 2015 from Barcelona. Pedro was phenomenal for Chelsea under the management of Antonio Conte. His performance in the title-winning season was really impressive. Pedro’s form dipped a bit in the last two seasons. So, now it would be difficult for Pedro to earn a new contract with Chelsea FC. The club management of the Blues are probably not considering to renew the contract of three veteran players. Willian and Olivier Giroud are on the same list as Pedro. Willian might join Tottenham Hotspur in the next summer transfer window to reunite with former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. Various clubs are already enquiring about the availability of Olivier Giroud. Inter Milan and Lyon are the frontrunners to sign the star French centre forward in the next summer transfer window.
Pedro will also be a free agent after the end of this season. Pedro has spent the golden period of his career at Barcelona from 2008-2015. However, he can still take a huge workload. He will certainly be more beneficial in a counter-attacking system. Serie A will be an ideal place to move for the Spanish player at this moment.
