The wild celebration of Kevin Sinclair after taking the wicket of Santner came into the headlines in the match between Barbados Tridents and Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League this season. Guyana Warriors were already in the semifinals of the tournament. Barbados Tridents had a slight chance of qualifying to the semifinals of the tournament. Kevin Sinclair was economical in this four overs of the match. He conceded 23 runs and took the wicket of Santner. After coming to bat, Barbados Tridents never got the flow that was required. No one in the top order made any impact in the match. Because of the quick fall of wickets, the run rate could not accelerate at any point of the innings. At one point of time, Barbados Tridents were struggling with 39 runs with the loss of 6 wickets. After losing the wicket of Charles in the third over, the fall of wickets was in a continuous manner in the innings of Barbados Tridents.

In the lower middle order, Santner and Nyeem Young tried to build a partnership. However, their efforts went in vain. Imran Tahir and Romario Shepherd were two key bowlers for Guyana Amazon Warriors in this match. Both these bowlers took three wickets each. Naved Ul Haque was economical in his four overs. He conceded only 15 runs in this match. Chris Green and Kevin Sinclair took one wicket each to wrap up the innings of Barbados Tridents.

While chasing, Guyana Amazon Warriors lost the wicket of Brandon King in the first over as Santner’s ball hit the stumps directly. However, the partnership between Chandrapaul Hemraj and Hetmyer was enough for Guyana Amazon Warriors to ease past their opponents. In the end, the small contribution of Ross Taylor also helped the cause. Guyana Amazon Warriors are currently at the second position in the league table of Caribbean Premier League at this moment and they are certainly one of the contenders to win the tournament this season.

The captain of Barbados Tridents, Jason Holder was very much disappointed with the performance of his side. They have failed to do much in this edition, as things did not work for them collectively.
